The Unexpected Life

Chapter 1

As I finish putting all my clothes in the suitcase, I took a look at myself in the mirror. A girl with extremely dark black hair with tips bleach and partly blue in the middle while wearing jeans and black poka dots sweater.

Yep, mom would definitely not complain to me about this.

"Kristina!!! Get your butt downstairs before your friend died of boredom," Lily,my best friend, yelled downstairs.

Lily is never the patient type, I wonder what will happen when she finds a boyfriend one day. Taking a long sigh, I came downstairs with my two large suitcase full of all my clothes and hop into the car.

"Are you ready to meet your family in California?" My other best friend, Joey asked excitedly while driving us to the airport.

"What are you talking about of course not! She's leaving her mom, her other half. How could you ask that question," Lily said exaggeratedly looking at her brother with a hard glare. The two stared to bicker back and forth while I sit in the back staring at the view from the window.

More like mom's other half is Lily. They always seemed to always agree to everything together.

"Well I'm actually really couldn't wait to get there. I mean come on, I haven't meet my brother and dad in FOREVERRR" I said, saying the last word with as long as possible.

Since my parents were divorce when we were thirteen. They had no choice but to split my brother and I up. Kristopher went with dad and they both move to California to start a new life. While my mom and I stayed at Colorado and continue our life without them. When Kris moved away I was like a turtle that lost its shell. I didn't know what to do and was all alone for a year since Kritopher was my partner in crime. Then later after that two lovely people came to my life, Lily and Joey.

Realizing that I was lost in my thought -again-we had arrived at the airport.

"We're here. Take care Krisy, if you ever forget about my brother and I, I will make sure to haunt you in your sleep when I die! And remember about our agreement?"

"I will still visit here sometimes you know, I won't abandon you guys, "I said trying to hold in my laugh,"And yes if I find a hot guy, I will make sure to get his number for you."

"Don't forget me, if you don't get some hot chicks I will make sure you pay it. And if anyone do anything to you call me, and I will fly to California just like super man," Joey said grinning.

Sometimes I wonder how the two are so similar. Even though Joey is a year older and Lily's only half brother, they had very similar thoughts but yet never really get along.

These two had always treat me like their own sister, of course I would do anything for them ( even if it means embarrass myself get get people's phone number for them).

"Yes and yes dad I will make sure of that," I joked.

Looking around to see if mom would be here to say good bye -because let's be honest I would probably never lived at this place again. The only thing I would miss it is leaving my friends and mom behind. But I just can't stay here any longer though because of some certain reason... Well I made up a white lie that I just couldn't take mom's judgement of me to always wear appropriate clothes. Which means 'always wear geek clothes or I will take your allowance away' thing. I mean sure that was a small part of why I wanted to to move but its not all. But all I wanted to do was giving her a proper good bye but obviously mom won't took some time off her date with her boyfriend just to say good bye to her daughter.
