Chapter 1

Robert Baratheon POV

I hear screaming and crying coming form inside the room. I just arrived after hunting. I manged to catch a beautiful stag. But all of that doesn't matter right now as I am about to meet my first born. I knock on the door and a servant opens.

I see Cersei laying in the bed with a little bundle in her arms. "Is it a boy or a girl?" I ask. Cersei looks at me and tells me it's a girl. "May I?" I say as I nod towards the bundle and Cersei hands me my daughter.

I look down and sees the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. Even though she is barely an hour old she has beautiful dark brown hair. She's so tiny. Suddenly she opens her eyes. They're beautiful. The ocean. That's all I can think when I see them. They're blue as ice and it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

She looks up at me and smiles. My heart fills with love. I smile back at her and she begins to giggle. I swore I would never let any harm come to her.

"What shall we call her?" My wife asked

I looked up from my daughter to look at her. Then back at my daughter.

"Clarissa. Clarissa Baratheon."

*Present day*

"Fetch my daughter" I ordered one of the guards.

I began walking down to the courtyard when I heard someone running behind me. I turned around just in time to see my beloved daughter running towards me. She jumped at me and I pulled her into a loving embrace while lifting her feet off the ground and spinning her around.

"Happy nameday, my beloved Clari" I said as I lowered her down and looked at her.

"I just sent a guard to fetch and here you are." I said while grinning

She looks at me with those eyes. Those beautiful ice blue eyes that I adore.

"Well I couldn't wait any longer to get my nameday present from you, father." She said to me with her soft yet powerful voice. While she said a playful smile started to spread across her face. I knew she was joking. My daughter never cared much for fancy gifts and beautiful dresses. She was just to pure.

She had always been kind and goodhearted ever since she was young. Always bringing home injured animals she had found whilst exploring the forest.

"Follow me and ill show you your nameday gift" I told Clari

Clarissa Baratheon POV

I arrived in the courtyard and looked around but didn't see any gifts. Suddenly a servant came out of the stables with a beautiful black mare. I looked up at my father. He just smiled and nodded at me.

"She's yours." That was all he said before I began walking towards the mare.

The horse looked at me and when I reached out my hand it just stood there completely still and let me touch her. I knew we would have a good bond together. Ever since I was a little girl I always loved riding. I felt free when I road and I could explore new things.

I looked away from the mare and walked back to my father and hugged him tighyly.

"Thank you so much father. This is the best nameday gift I could've wished for" I said.

"Are you sure? Because I have one more gift for you, my little warrior." I loved it when my father called me his little warrior. "I will let you travel Westeros"

I looked up at him shocked. It had always been my wish to see all of Westeros and now I finally could.

My father continued to speak. "I will allow you to travel all the way to the wall, but you must be back here before your 16th nameday. You will also take 5 guards with you and they will train you in combat fighting, so you will be able to protect yourself."

This is all I've ever dreamt of. "Father, I am overjoyed this is truly the best thing you could give me, but I must ask for one thing. I don't wish to travel as Princess Clarissa Baratheon, but simply as Clari. A daughter of a rich merchant from Kings Landing"

"Fair enough, now you must go pack. I expect you will leave on the morrow."

I hugged my father once more before making my way to my chamber to pack.
