Isabelle’s P.O.V.
I was glad that I had some time to think things over, after the incident with Kyle I had been avoiding every chance to run into him. He had tried to contact me several times and even asked Eli to tell me that he wanted to talk to me. I liked Eli but there also was this attitude of him that I didn’t like at all. He was a true jock stereo type and I didn’t like that about him.
And then there was Aiden, the mystery guy I had met two weeks ago at a party and had been avoiding him as well. Why? I didn’t know, I guess mostly because of the fact that he made me want to open up. He made me want to spill everything I’d been holding back for so long and it scared me. He made me feel comfortable and save, appreciated.
‘’Isabelle!’’ my mother’s voice yelled from the kitchen making me cower. ‘’Isabelle get down here!’’ I ran down the stairs without hesitation knowing this would go wrong if I didn’t.
‘’Yes ma’am?’’ I spoke carefully.
‘’Why isn’t there any food in here?’’ She pointed at the fridge her eyes narrowed and I noticed a half empty bottle of wine on the kitchen counter.
‘’I’m sorry mom, I was about to do the groceries but then Trevor stopped by, I’ll go right now.’’ Polite, come on Izzy stay polite. I sniffed once.
‘’Hurry up I’m starving.’’ She huffed and left the kitchen then grabbing the bottle on her way out.
My mother and I never got along well, I was a daddy’s girl. My mother always was real strict and she supported the FRG so everything always had to be proper, a true generals wife. My dad might be a general but he was more loosely. He loved my crazy side, my colored hair, my music and most of all he loved how I was different from everyone else. He was my rock, my support.
Dad, god how I missed him and how I wanted him to stop this right now. I felt tears dwelling up in my eyes and looked down grabbing my keys and rushing out the door to get the groceries. Leaving my mother to her alcohol. I knew one thing for sure right this moment. Tonight was party night, and hell I was going to party till I dropped.
It was about 11 pm when I pulled up into the driveway of some house I knew a party would be going on. I wasn´t quite sure who was hosting but frankly I didn´t care. Tonight was party night no matter what. So here I was my hair loosely round my face styled perfectly, a light washed jeans with cuts pretty much everywhere and a short ripped band shirt hardly reaching the edge of my jeans. I looked rather sexy if I said so myself, and this was exactly the point for I wanted to get wasted and maybe score a guy tonight.
‘’Izzy!’’ A girl came running towards me and it took me a second to realize who she was.
‘’Hey Case.’’ I said as she wrapped an arm around my shoulder. Casey was new in town, an army kid like myself.
She was a social butterfly and even though she had just been here for two days she seemed completely settled in. She was kind of like me, not very fond of the army, refusing to go to school on post and she partied like a rock star.
She had this whole cute girl look going on which didn’t suit her big mouth at all I guess that’s the only thing that was different about her. I guess I could consider her a friend someday specially because she was keeping my secret.
The only bad thing about this girl, she knew about my dad and soon enough she’d find out about my mother as well but she promised to keep it to herself which was a good thing.
‘’So I found some guys in the basement.’’ She paused for a moment. ‘’And I managed to score this.’’ She held up a small bag of weed grinning widely.
