It was 11:00 pm and I was woken up by noises in the attic, I hear my cat upstairs. I have no concrete evidence to say this but my cat seems to be in pain and whatever is causing the noises seems to be hurting my cat.

Then I hear a creek in the floor, I tried my best to rationalize my way out of this situation, I hid under my blanket hoping it would serve as protection even though I know it wouldn't be much help.

Moments later I finally calmed down, until I heard the opening of cabinets and sharpening of knives which came from the kitchen a floor under me.

Then the sound seems to be getting closer to my direction, I hid under my blanket again and closed my eyes hoping whatever it is would go away just like nightmares when I wake up. I heard a scream but I just thought it was my imagination since this was the first time I felt fear like this.

After the unbelievably long inevetable darkness I saw a glimpse of sunlight. When I saw it I was relieved. But what I saw next was the paradox of what I have felt, I see blood scattered all over the floor. I went down to the kitchen and saw the utensils spreaded in the counter like a hurricane hit it, I went up in the attic and saw my cat stabbed a lot of times and bathing in it's pond of blood.

But the worst part is when I went to the hallway. My parents were brutally stabbed by a knife leaving them with blood shot eyes. Then a chill rushed through my spine when I realized something, when i heard cabinets opening it was the killer finding a knife, when I heard my cat he was trying to defend me and worse when i heard creeking, it was my parents trying to escape and that's when I felt fear like never before although a part of me was relieved that I wasn't killed.

Until I saw a letter written under my bed saying

"I know you're all alone now".

I rushed out of the house, knocking our neighbors door yelling

"Help!! Help!! Somebody!! Please!!"

I then tried to open the door knob like a maniac, until I tried it. Something was wrong, it wasn't locked. I thought to myself

"Who the heck would leave their door open this early in the morning?!!"

Then an idea popped up in my mind

"What if they didn't leave it open but rather someone broke in?"

What I did next was the bravest thing I can remember. I opened all the doors in the neighbourhood and to my surprise they were all open. And when I went inside it was a menace, there was bloodshed everywhere. It was all the same, utensils ransacked, pets covered in blood pools and adults brutally killed.

Although one thing was different, there were no signs of children. And if you think that no children were living then you are wrong, those noisy brats would scream and shout in the afternoon waking me up from my best attempts to sleep.

And as I remind myself these details to prove that something was off, my heart started to pump hard. I had difficulties in breathing and my head feels light, It thought that it was just my stomach asking for food to eat.

Then right as I put my foot out of the door I heard footsteps. It was accompanied with clanking of chains and scratching of walls. After that I heard a door open and I thought to my self "This is the chance for me to escape!", but a part of me wanted to see this someone or something.

So I hid in the nearest cabinet I can find and it was perfect. It was enough for me to see the silhouette of anything that passes by.

After minutes of waiting it finally went near me. It was short, long haired, I assume it was wearing a normal t-shirt and long slacks and from my sight it was barefooted.
