Where do we stand?

When the lights go down and our time draws near, where will we stand?

You see, I have this issue.
The simple misuse of letters, three words are what they make.

To me, there is no other way.
My code is in your eyes.
Programmed by a sadistic, masochist.
The program that ties our sides.

A lovers embrace is felt, so sweet, but torn by the rise of a sun.
A rise of a brother.
A comrade.

Friendships or relationships.
Which is important? A woman's heart or a friends trust?

You see, these are the thoughts that taunt thee. I see in your burning eyes.

But could the tales that I am told, be nothing but bitter lies?

A kiss, hotter than a thousand suns. A touch that tingles the heart. A scent that lingers on skin.

Gods. You are insane, to love a man so bright. He is the sun and I am Icarus, burned by him mid flight.

My wings are singed, my heart is heavy and yet I still yearn. I yearn to touch something that is so dangerous, so out of reach and turn.

Our rendezvous, late at night. The tender love and care. Then suddenly your cold as stone, are you even there?

So,where do we stand? When all is said and done, when the sun finally falls.

Where do we stand, when a brother's acceptance come knocking upon our door?

Where do we stand, when, finally, we realise that there is love for us to share?

I know I'll stand by your side, I have always been there.

The question though, my love, is this.

Will you see me standing there?
