First Meeting

I walked inside and everything was broken, my pictures, my lamps, everything. Nothing was stolen, not that I noticed anyway. I went to my room and into the bathroom to check my safe spot. I picked up the top that covered the back and made sure my money was there. When it was I breathed a sigh of relief. This has to be about $5,000 of my savings. I'm just glad that it was all here and we weren't.

"Yo, Aburn you home?" I heard that familiar voice yelling from the front door.

I walked out of my room and found Levi holding Heaven at the front door.

"Somebody broke in, nothing was stolen." I said grabbing Heaven.

"Are you okay?" He asks looking around. I nodded and went and put Heaven in her room.

"I need a small favor for tomorrow."

"Yeah, I'll watch Heaven tomorrow, what time?" He asks. I feel like I overwhelm them sometimes.

"I need to drop her off at 6, to be at work at 7. There's suppose to be a big party at the club for Andreas Mikael." I sighed walking off into the kitchen to grab the broom.

"Oh I heard about that party, good luck with that." He laughed and I nodded.
He stayed to help me clean up and throw everything away.

When we finished cleaning I plopped down on the couch exhausted. "You gonna call the police?" He asked confused.

"No, it's probably just somebody looking for some cash. Completely coincidental." I don't want to be the focus of attention on the news.

Anybody could be watching and I just don't need more shit like this to happen. Plus news people are always in somebody's face about something.

"If you say so, I'm going back to my house. If you need anything just let me or Britt know." He said walking to the front door. I went to let him out and nodded.

"Thanks." I closed the door and went to check on Heaven in her room. She was sound asleep and I was content with her safety.

I went to the bathroom to take a warm shower. The water felt great cascading down my body and for the first time in a while I feel relaxed.

When I got out I brushed my teeth and lotioned my body with my Warm Vanilla Sugar lotion from Bath and Body Works. I love this one, my top fave.

I looked at myself in the mirror and I didn't like what I saw. I've always been told things like You're not pretty or You'll never amount to anything. Right now I feel as though the person that told me that was right. I'm not and never will be pretty and I will forever be useless.

FML.

I crawled into bed and cried myself to sleep. What a restless sleep it was.

"Shane, you need to get out of here. Change your name, your appearance and the same for Kayla. Take her and go, please." She begged.

"I can't Ness, he'll find me. He always finds me. If I try to run again, he'll kill me. That'll be it." I cried onto Vanessa's shoulder.

"Not if you're smart about it, I'm going to make sure you and my God Child get out of his grasp. It's Friday night and he's out partying, pack your clothes and Kayla's, go to the atm. Use the card to get as much as you can, when you're done destroy it and throw it away. He can traack where you last used it, and that's why you're using it here, so he'll think you're dumb enough to stay here. Go anywhere, change your name and start over. Call me as soon as you make it somewhere safe." She says pacing the room.
