The constant ridicules of the bullies kept getting louder and louder in my head, it was like a constant drone. Soon enough I couldn't take anymore so I leased myself from their sight. Their loud guffaws created an echo as I darted as quickly as my rangy legs would allow me out of the terrorizing changing room.
I looked down at my feet, biting back the tears. My heart wrenching, I unwillingly examined myself in the mirror of a small bathroom stall. On my shoulders, disarrayed, hung thick, deep black, curly hair my constricted pupils encompassed by honey brown iris's. I had a curved nose, short and rounded and an ingot covered my bottom layer of my teeth inside my plump red lips. I wiped my hard eyes smearing my black eyeliner.
I wish I was beautiful.
Abruptly, the once gross and dreggy mirror glowed and twinkled bright. Brighter than the autumn sun. Bewildered, I stared mesmerized; I was captivated by the mirror's astounding glow as I suddenly felt awakened!
A flash later, the looking glass ceased to glow any longer and in a flurry of shimmer and spark, a fairy appeared perched by the side of the white sinks.
She was short and pixie like, thin in the extreme with small features. Her hair was golden, gently waving to the middle of her back. She was chalky pale and her dazzling grey eyes enticed me, her dilated pupils looked entertained and excited. She had a cute button nose and perfect peachy pink lips. She was statuesque; she was the kind that would make every girl around her take a hit on her self-esteem just by being in the same room. Her face looked like it was painted by an old master as the face of an angel. Crystal white wings also, and a long and silver wand. She was garbed in a long dress made from white dragon scales. The hem of her dress nearly touched the ground and as she gracefully moved towards me, sparkle and glitter fell from her dress and dissipated into the atmosphere. She took a lithe dancers step towards me.
I asked, "Who are you?"
She smiled. "Why I am your fairy Godmother!"
Her voice rang and shimmered like a bell.
"Godmother?"
She was young and her features were perfect
She nodded once. "I am here to grant to you your wish."
Her answering smile dazzled me.
"You wished that you were beautiful, yes?"
I said baffled, "Yes I do, I do very much!"
Her face was glowing-like a white flame burned from behind her diamond skin.
"I've heard your wish, and I am here to grant it!" She said in her singing voice.
"Tomorrow morning when you awaken, your wish will have come true!"
I smiled at the enthusiasm in her voice.
Before I could thank her, she walked away with a quick, graceful lope that belonged on the runway. I blinked in amazement, and she was gone.
When I got to the truck, it was almost the last car in the lot. It seemed like a haven. It was faded red colour, with big, rounded fenders and a bulbous cab. It was one of those solid iron affairs that never get damaged, I loved it.
I sat inside for a while, staring at the windshield blankly. But soon it was cold enough inside to need the heater, so I turned the key and the engine roared to life. I headed back to Dave's house, fighting tears the whole way there.
