Virtual Reality

   I woke up in a golden field. I think I fell asleep here. It must've rained because my clothes are wet and heavy. I keep walking, but the fields are endless. Where am I? This is when I start to see a village. It's blurry, but I'm sure those are people. I run toward them. I walk up to a woman, she looks as if she was in a really high tech military.

  "Hello. Where am I? I need help." I asked her with a timid tone.

  "Hey guys, we have a stupid AI over here. I think she wants to give us an escort mission." The woman yells at her friends. They proceed to yell about how escort missions are stupid and that she should just forget the quest. I walk away hoping to find someone who can help me when a girl around my age walks up to me with a bright smile.

  "Hey, those guys are pretty nice compared to most. They're just making fun of you since you're only level one. I can help you level up if you want?" she tells me.

  "What do you mean level up? Also what's an escort mission?" I ask her hoping for real answers this time. 

 She laughs. "Escort missions are when you have to take people some where, but you can't get them killed. They're really annoying, so try to avoid them when you're a higher level. Also leveling up makes you able to attain stronger gear, so you can get to even higher levels to be the best. You're in an RPGMMO, so I think you should know this stuff even if you're level one."

  "What do you mean?" I am so confused right now, I feel as if I'm about to burst into tears. Nothing makes since, all I can hear are parts of words.

  "Hey, I know what will cheer you up!" She tells me with that bright smile. I follow her hoping nothing bad will happen. "Here we are. Want to customize your character? You can keep how you look, but it's always fun making them. Oh, but first what's your name? I'm Dawn."

  "I'm, uhh... I'll get back to you!" she laughed and said 'ok' as I opened the UI. It asked me what I wanted to change. Eyes, I said and I picked a normal looking shape, but I chose purple iris, I thought it looks cute. Next I changed how tall I was. I chose to be short and a little skinny, but not where you could notice. So in the end, I turned out with aquamarine hair, with long hair and an adorable body. I exited the UI. Dawn's face was in shock. She looked at me funny.

  "What's so funny?" I asked her, sincerely not being sarcastic.

  "Why are you so short? This is a fighting game! Not live your life here and try to get kidnapped!" So in the end, I kept the hair and eyes, but had to 'tone down the cuteness level'. And I quote: At least your skilled that up pretty high. 

  "Better?" I asked her a little annoyed

  "Yeah. Oh and what's your name again?" Dawn asked me. I must've forgotten to tell her.

  "Oh, I'm Azra!" I told her, it took me a lot of thought to think of that name, but I felt pretty good when I came up with it.

  "Cool! Next, what's you're class? I think you would be good as a gunslinger or a mage. Obvioulsy, gunslingers are ranged and so are mages, but I'm  not trying to be rude, just... you look lazy."

  "I'm not lazy! Give me the hardest class there is! I can take it!" I told her. Though I am pretty lazy, I just don't want her ot think that.

  "Fine, you can be a warrior, but they're pretty boring. Mages aren't, I mean you can heal, use fire attacks, enchant weapons. All sorts of shizzle!" 

  "Then why aren't you a mage?" I asked her puzzled.

  "Oh, it's just I already have one in my party." Dawn said with a smirk on her face like she accomplished the hardest thing in the world.

  "Talk about lazy." I mumbled under my breath.

  "Hey, so I think you should be a mage. It would be really good, but if you are, you need to be in a party, because it's hard to heal yourself in the middle of battle." 

  "Fine, who should I 'party' with?" I asked her almost wanting to just leave.

  "Anyone! Maybe that guy over there! He looks nice and I think he's only level one too! Well I got to go! I'll send you a friend request. A little box opened up in front of my face asking me to friend Dawn Heartblood - Level 34. Of course, I accepted and proceeded to approach the guy that Dawn was talking about.

  "Hey. Are you in a party? 'Cause I need to be in a party, or I'll get my ass whooped." I asked him. His avatar was pretty cute, but I guess he could be some seventy year old asshole in real life.

  "No. And who would want to party with you? You're only level one."

  "You are too." I told him looking through his stats, Dawn showed me how while she was telling me how to open the UI. Seems he is pretty new since he only has the starter gear. Poor kid, he'll never get into a party if he keeps acting like this.

  "Fine. I'll party with you, Azra is it?"

  "Yeah and you're James right? Not a very exciting name." I told him with a smirk on my face.

  "Well, that's my real name so get used to it." 

  "Here, I'll send you a request." I said. "I'll promote you so we can be co-leaders afterwards." He accepted and as I promoted him to co-leader he tried to kiss me.

  "Like what the fuck man? I was trying to me nice and you try to kiss me?" I tell James.

  "Sorry, just thought that worked with all girls." he told me shrugging.

  "I'm not all girls, I'm one girl. And I'm not demoting myself so don't get your hopes up.

  "So, you want to go find some quests?" he asked me trying to change the subject. I ignored it and said "Sure that'd be fun." So we were on our first quest!
