You & matt have been friends since you were babies. He was one year older than you, so he was pretty protective but you know he loved you unconditionally. It was 1:38 am, you have been up crying, you've been depressed for about a year now, every night you stay up crying but some nights it's worse than others. Matt knows about your depression but he doesn't know about your cutting. It's all over your legs & arms but it's winter so it's easy to cover up.
You heard gentle footsteps coming up your stairs & down the hall to your door, you thought it was your mom so you didn't rush to cover your arms & legs since you were wearing a tank top & shorts.
You looked to see it was matt & you scrambled to get the blanket wrapped around you.
"Hi matt." You said tiredly, sniffling.
"Hi beautiful, how are you doing ?" He asked
Matt doesn't usually stop over, weird that he did tonight.
"I'm okay, how are you ?" You replied
"I'm cold & I was looking for someone to cuddle with & I figured since were best friends you were a good choice."
You smiled & welcomed him into your bed while still staying covered by the blanket, he felt really cold so you tried covering him & holding him so he would warm up, he was rubbing his hand along your arm until he suddenly stopped & looked down at it.
"(Y/n), what's on your arm ?" He asked looking puzzled
"What do you mean what's on my arm?" You were fighting back tears
Matt gently pulled your arm above the blanket & he just gently rubbed his thumb back & forth over the cuts & scars.
"Can I see your legs & your other arm too ?" He asked
You were crying but you showed him. He was so sad, he just held you there in his arms, so tight. He was telling you he would protect you, keep you safe, keep you happy, he was kissing the top of your head & on your cheek. You were still crying saying how sorry you were & you would never do it again. But he just kept saying he was right there & he was never going to let someone hurt you again.
You fell asleep in eachothers arms & you kept eachother, warm & safe. It was then, that you both realized you were truly in love with one another.
So, I know I touched on a very serious topic but I didn't wanna make my first imagine dirty & I didn't know what else to do it on so I did this. Hope you guys like it, I'll be posting one daily unless said otherwise the day before.
They will be mostly matthew, Taylor & shawn but I will be covering each of the boys & doing some best friend mahogany imagines as well. (: I'll try & be as frequent as possible !
