Adventures Coming Close

Chapter 2

I woke up to my Pidey singing next to my ear, at dawn. I put him back in his Poke ball and slept longer.

I heard someone drive into the centre in a motorbike. I looked up to see the Officer and Ash. Ash was holding his Pikachu in his arms, Pikachu had scratches and marks of dirt all over and Ash looked a bit beat up.

"What happened?" I jumped up.

"Oh, hey Emma." He sounded so tired.

"Ash get Pikachu to the Nurse and get some rest yourself. Do you want me to stay?" I asked.

"Nah" He Started, "We'll be alright."

I went to go walk out and just as I was leaving, a girl walked in looking very annoyed. She was short with orange hair, a yellow t-shirt with red suspenders. She was holding a burnt bike and started to yell at Ash. "I knew I would find you here!" I left.

Running through Viridian, training up Pidey and Eevee. I didn't catch any Caterpies or Weedles but got my Pidey up a high level. This was when I decided I was going to try to take on the gym battles. All I knew about them was the first one was a rock type, so I won't start there. I'll start at Cerulean City and go on from there.

I decided to walk through the dark cave. Couldn't have been too bad with my flashlight and my ability to create light by fire.

I walked out of town to a few trainers who wanted to battle, I battled and won each battle well. After I had to let my Pokémon rest before the last battle. I walked up to the trainer, let out my Pidey and started. "Go Pidey, gust them".

My Pidey flew near their Zubat and attacked by creating wind and blowing them away. Zubat flew straight back with a tackle, Pidey dodged and pecked from behind.

"Go Pidey!" I yelled.

Zubat flew to the ground and fainted.

A bright light came from my Pidey as he started to form differently. He had evolved into Pidgeotto. I ran up and hugged him, "Congrats". He jumped up, flew quickly around, showing his new flight speed. Eevee jumped out of her Poke ball and congratulated Pidgeotto.

After they played for a bit we carried on walking for 2 km's till we hit the cave. Surprisingly it was lite up and these two teenagers were hanging lights. I couldn't see who they were, but they were wearing a spinoff of the Team Rocket's uniform. They had white shirts with a big, red 'R' on it and one had a super short, white skirt. The other had long white pants, the normal uniform is black, but other than that, they got it. They also had a Pokémon with them, a Meowth.

"Hey!" The girl yelled out, "you shouldn't be passing through here." Her voice sounded annoyed, strident.

"You're from Team Rocket?" I made myself sound confident.

"Yes." This time the guy had a calm voice.

"So, you better Prepare for Trouble!" They started the Team Rocket motto.

"And make that double!"

"To protect the world from devastation!"

"To unite all peoples within our nation!"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"

"To extend our reach to the stars above!"

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"

"That's right!" A new voice said.

This was another 'spinoff' of the Team Rocket motto. I started to wonder whether or not they are actually Team Rocket members, or just wanted to be.

"Are- are you guys actually members of team rocket and was that third voice, there's only two of you?" I asked.

The Meowth walked closer to me, "I spoke, and yes, we are about of the famous Team Rocket."

"A Meowth... Wait, you spoke in English. Of course, he would want that, surprised you're not kept up at headquarters, or he's not using you for a show to make money." I said.

"Who?" They all said in unison.

"You're boss, Giovanni." They gave a confused look and wondered how I knew their bosses name. Barely anyone outside the organisation does. "I mean for a guy who disguises his voice over the phone and gets everyone to do things for him, I had a lot to go on." I think they all knew that last part was sarcasm, or, at least, they should of.

I walked passed them without saying anything else and got through the lite up cave. On my way through, there were Clefairy protecting this stone. I didn't really know what it was but one of the Pokémon told me its name was the Moon Stone. The Moon Stone is a type of evolution stone that can make Clefairy evolve.

The Clefairy let me pass. On the other side of the cave, there were more trainers that I battled, they handed me my prize money. I walked away, hoping to find a Pokémon Centre.
