While walking down the path to Saffron City, there was a sign that read: "Road Closed due to construction. Use the underground path to Vermilion City." With an arrow pointing ahead to a building.

"Kay, guess I'll head there then." I thought aloud.

I walked into this small building, which just had stairs inside leading underground. When going down, you could hear every little echo. It didn't feel too safe. Along lite up path leads down and from the end, you could just see the end, must have been about 10 km but I guess we did go under a massive city.

Finally got to the other side, tired and just wanted to sleep. Lucky the Pokémon Centre was just a couple metres ahead, my Pokémon got healed up and I slept through the night.

The next morning, the nurse gave me my Pokémon saying they were perfectly healthy.

"I also warn you if you are going to go fight at the gym, we have had a lot of Pokémon come in over the month because of him. Please be careful."

"Okay, Thanks," I replied to the nurse and went on my way.

Walking towards the gym I thought about what the nurse said, what would my strategy be? All I knew about this gym was it was around electric Pokemon, so my bird can't go in.

"Hope Eevee is up to the job."

I let Eevee out of her Pokeball and walked a little out of town.

"Eevee, we're gonna train you up for the next gym, okay?" I asked Eevee.

"Yeah, we'll win." Eevee sounded, and looked, confident.

Eevee practised some moves on wild Pokemon nearby.

"Eevee, we should work on your running, just in case it's a fast Pokemon or if it's slow you can outrun it," I called out.

She nodded her head in agreement.

I let Pidgeotto out of his ball, just so he can be free for a while. Plus I don't think he would want to be trapped in his Pokeball and playing around can be fun.

I think the best thing about being a Pokemon trainer is watching my pokemon have fun and grow with them to become stronger.

"Pidgeotto, Eevee. Come over here." I yelled out.

Both raced over fast as they could, Pidgeotto and his wings won.

"You two just look at this view." Vermilion city looked out to the ocean. It was beautiful how the sunlight reflected on the water to and refracted down. I don't know how to give it justice, but most waterfronts just looked amazing and it made me miss Pellet town, where we were a short walk away from the ocean. As children Ash, Gary and I would play in the water and sometimes a pokemon would swim to us.

We all just enjoyed it for a couple of minutes.

"Right, now. You two train with each other, we need Eevee prepared for anything," I looked over to Pidgeotto to tell him, "you won't be battling this gym. Okay?"

"Why?"

"Electric pokemon, you would get hurt." Pidgeotto seemed to understand my very vague answer. "So pidgeotto, I want you to come at all angles and Eevee you dodge or quickly find a good attack to use."

Pidgeotto flew around and diving down for a tackle at top speeds, lucky Eevee only got hit the first few times when she tried to dodge. Then she did better and bounced around somehow attacking Pidgeotto.

They carried on practising in different ways throughout the day. After they both were tired and as it was getting late, I put them both in their pokeballs and walked to the pokemon centre to rest.

The next morning I made sure both my pokemon were happy and that Eevee was ready.

Walking to the Gym I didn't know what to expect. There aren't too many pokemon that it could be.

"Emma, wait." A voice called.

I turned around to see Ash and two other people. I could remember seeing one of them, in Viridian City. The other had brown hair, more tanned skin than Ash and he was a little older than the rest of us.

"Hey Ashy."

"I'm Misty." The orange head girl told me.

"And I'm Brock." The other said.

"Emma. I'm Ash's sister." I explained to them. "I was about to battle the gym."

"Wait for us, we were just gonna make sure my pokemon were healthy," Ash asked me.

I really didn't want to, but I thought I'll be nice. Plus then Ash could fight first and I could see the strategy of the Pokemon. "Yeah, sure." I walked back to the pokemon centre with them.

Ash talked to the nurse while I got to know his friends. Brock was the Gym leader of Pewter City and Misty is the fourth sister of the Cerulean City. Ash couldn't have chosen his friends better for learning the best ways to win. But from what I could tell they were nice. Brock knew a lot about pokemon needs, he wanted to be a breeder, and Misty loved Pokemon with a passion and just wanted to be the world best with water Pokemon.

Ash came and sat with us. "Ash, I was just telling them all the embarrassing things you used to do." I joked.

"Like what?" Ash stupidly asked.

"Well, remember when you-" I started as Ash cut me off.

"Nope. Don't even try, they don't need to hear anything." Ash said very quickly.

"Don't worry, we were just talking. She didn't say anything about you." Misty reassured him.

"Good."

"But you know, Ash there's lots of times I could tell them everything." I gave Ash a look.

The nurse called Ash over about his Pikachu. Pikachu jumped up and ran over to us.

"Oh Pikachu, how are you feeling about everything," I asked.

"I like Ash now, he's a good trainer," Pikachu told me.

"Good."

Ashes rolled his eyes while Misty and Brock looked surprised.

"Oh, she can talk to Pokemon and fully understand them," Ash explained as I smiled.

We all stood up and walked over to the gym.
