"Wake up! Wake up!"
The guardian clambered up, startled by the presence of ghost.
"We need to move now the fallen are onto us!"
As quick as he could the guardian began to move towards the large, crumbling building ahead of him - the cosmodrome. Eventually he reached the small entrance to the wall and just before entering looked around behind him. Ducked behind the piles of rust covered cars were the fallen, humanoid spider aliens that scavenged machines.
"What are you waiting for get inside!" Cried ghost, "if you don't hurry they'll kill you and crack me open!"Exhausted the guardian stepped inside the building and shut the heavy metal door behind him.
"Whilst we have the time, what's your name guardian?" Ghost questioned.
"I think it was Jacob I can't really remember" replied Jacob.
"Ah yes you're a human so you'd have a name like that, I was expecting something weird like Zavala" said ghost, "actually I shouldn't say that you'll be meeting him later".
Together Jacob and ghost carried on the the building.
"You're going to need a gun if you want to survive" said ghost as he scanned the area, "speak of the devil! You might want to pick this up Jacob."
Jacob grabbed the gun off the floor and reloaded it with the ammo beside it."Hey did you just hear that, I think we are being followed," ghost whispered, but when he turned around there was nothing.
Suddenly the fallen began to crawl out from the many holes in the walls. The crowded around Jacob with their guns pointed at him. As soon as Jacob shot one of them dead all hell broke loose. There were bullets everywhere. Quickly Jacob ran to cover and hid there.
"It doesn't matter if you die right now I can revive you" said ghost, who sounded quieter from all the gunfire. Jacob got back up and began to shoot back at the fallen. Whenever he hit them in the head it exploded into strange white blood, their headless bodies would then collapse the the ground. It only took a couple hundred bullets... but they were all dead! Jacob reloaded the gun and continued through the rotting corridors of the cosmodrome. After a long dangerous walk through the cosmodrome ghost began to worry if they'd be able to escape the place.
"It's a cosmodrome there must be a ship we can find, surely..." Ghost assumed.
"Yes but it would probably be destroyed this place must be a couple hundred years old," replied Jacob.
"Oh no! Don't worry about that I can fix it... Well at least enough to reach the city," said ghost, "wait I'm beginning to sense a ship we must be near our escape route!"
The sound of the incredible news made Jacob run towards the newly found coordinates of the ship. When they eventually arrived to the site of the crashed ship ghost flew over to it and began to fire some strange blue beam at it.
"What are you doing?" Asked Jacob.
"I'm fixing it of course!" Answered ghost.
Whilst ghost was busy fixing the ship what looked like a seemingly normal hole in the wall just so happened to be where a large fallen captain was.
"Uhhh ghost we have a problem..." Said Jacob as the alien crawled out the wall, holding a large scorch cannon.
"Whatever it is I'm busy! You'll have to deal with it yourself." Called ghost from across the room.
Jacob armed himself and aimed at the captain. The captain shrieked some fallen words and aimed at Jacob. All of a sudden both of them opened fire. Whilst the fallen captain tanked all of the shots from Jacob, Jacob could hardly withstand one shot from the captain. In the middle of the fight Jacob was able to make out some speech from the fallen leader.
"You puny guardian think you can kill Braxis the undefeated!"
After that however his name proved to be wrong. Jacob rolled to cover and luckily found a rocket launcher on the floor. As an added bonus it was loaded with one rocket! Jacob aimed Dow sights. He put his finger on the trigger.
"Not so undefeated now Braxis!" Shouted Jacob.
He pulled the trigger. The rocket hit Braxis directly in the chest knocking him back. In the smoke of the explosion Braxis exited back through the hole in the wall.
"Done!" Yelled ghost.
"Nevermind that where did the fallen captain go?" Muttered Jacob under his breath.
He clambered into the ship and off they went towards the last city.
