━━━━━ ELLIE SAT NEXT to Bella while Edward pulled the truck up to the house where he lived, the three of them climbed out of the truck. Ellie walked to the back of the truck grabbing her back and Bella's, turning she handed it over to her who accepted it.
Edward moved up the steps of the house walking towards the front door, he opened it allowing Ellie and Bella to walk in first but as soon as he did Laurent and Carlisle came into their view. Edward took a protective stance, moving in front of the two brunettes.
"Wait!" Carlisle called out, holding his hand in front of Edward. "He came to warn us about James." Carlisle added looking at the three, his eyes landing on Ellie. Laurent looked over at the three as they looked at him waiting for an explanation.
"This isn't my fight and I've grown tired of his games, but he's got unparalleled senses, absolutely lethal. I've never seen anything like him in my three hundred years. And the woman, Victoria, don't underestimate her." Laurent explained, looking intently at the three.
The vampire moved past them exiting out of the Cullen home, after he was gone Ellie moved past Edward and Bella, walking over to Carlisle. She pulled him into a tight hug, the blonde vampire wrapped his arms around her hugging her back.
The two pulled away from the hug, Carlisle grabbed her hand pulling her down to the garage. Bella and Edward followed behind them, Jasper and a few others joining them as well.
"I've had to fight our kind before. We're not easy to kill." Jasper said, talking to Emmett who had been with them.
"But not impossible." Emmett replied as they walked over to the cabinets.
Ellie stood next to Bella as Carlisle walked over to one of the cabinet's.
"How do you kill a vampire?" Ellie asked, looking at them.
Emmett turned his head looking back at the brunette. "We'll rip him apart and burn the pieces." Emmett explained, Ellie nodded her head.
"Oh." She breathed out looking over at Bella.
"I don't relish the thought of killing another creature, even a sadistic one like James." Carlisle said, closing the cabinet slightly and moving away.
"What if he kills one of us first?" Rosalie asked as she climbed onto the counter.
"I'm gonna run Bella and Ellie south. Can you lead the tracker away from here?" Edward asked, as Carlisle turned to look at him.
"No, Edward. James knows you'd never leave Bella. He'll follow you. And he knows that I would never leave Ellie." Carlisle said, looking at the three.
Alice stepped forward, looking at Edward. "I'll go with Bella and Ellie. Jasper and I will drive them south. I'll keep her safe, Edward. Along with Ellie." Alice said moving closer to Edward while looking at Ellie and Bella.
"Can you keep your thoughts to yourself?" Edward questioned, eyes gazing at her.
"Yes." Alice simply responded, grabbing a hold of Bella and Ellie's hands pulling them over to the car. Edward walked over to Rosalie and Esme with Bella's bag and Ellie's bag.
"Rosalie, Esme, could you put these on so the tracker will pick up Bella and Ellie's scent?" Edward asked, pulling a sweater from Bella's bag and a jacket from Ellie's as well.
"Why?" Rosalie asked, looking at Edward.
"What are they to me?" She asked another question, placing Bella's coat on the counter and jumping off of it.
Jamie turned, looking towards the vampire as she looked around at everyone. He walked over to her grabbing the coat and holding it in front of Rosalie.
"Rosalie, Bella is with Edward, and Ellie is with Carlisle. They're both a part of this family now. And we protect our family." Jamie explained handing the coat to her.
Rosalie sighed, grabbing a hold of Bella's coat walking away from the group, pushing past Edward. Carlisle walked to the other side of the car looking down at Ellie who looked up at him, she didn't want to pull her eyes off of him.
"Be safe, Carlisle. I don't want anything to happen to you." Ellie said as she looked into his eyes seeing the sweetness behind it.
"Nothing will happen, just stay safe." Carlisle replied, placing a soft kiss on her cheek.
The vampire pulled away, eyes on the human as she smiled at him. He turned away from the car and walked away from her. Ellie pushed herself back into the seat buckling up. Alice turned back in her seat looking at Ellie, the brunette gave her a small smile. The vampire turned back in her seat as Jasper pulled out of the garage and began driving away.
