Short Chapter - Will update more!

Mike didn’t come in, and I don’t blame him. Sometime’s it even surprises myself how much I go to the hospital to speak to my sleeping sister. But, she needs someone to entertain her while she is sleeping. Because, I imagine the nurses aren’t very entertaining.
The lady at the counter didn’t give us a second glance. She had seen my around here before — yet, we had never introduced ourselves.
Maddi followed swiftly behind me, and wrinkled her nose up at the smell. “It smells like death in here”
“I wonder why” I said dryly, and gave her a quick cheeky smile. She shot me a glare. “Oh, ha-ha, Miss Funny Pants”
Then, we both stopped right in front of Averie’s door. I whipped it open, before Maddi could change her mind and strode in. My eye’s danced on the familiar object’s, before landing on my Averie. She was still looking the same, peaceful and sleepy. Her brown hair had recently been brushed, and spreaded around her head in silky waves. I moved to my familiar seat, and didn’t have to heart to look at Maddi. From the corner of my eye I saw her plop down on the seat on the other side of Averie.
“Oh, Avey, wake up. God, your life is not a book” Maddi said, sounding irritated.
I sighed, and leaned back. “Madelyn has come to visit you. So, wake up, Ave’s”
“What do you normally talk about with her? I refuse to believe you tell her to wake up for an hour every week”
I grinned. “I usually tell her all the gossip. Like, how Julian dropped Brittany’s ass, after her heard that she was telling everyone he was going to propose. It was hilarious. Lottie nearly died. Oh! And Asha has a new smiling project. I know, I know. I pity the poor bastard as well. But, I have bet’s that they are going to fall in love” I looked over at Maddi. “Yeah?”
Maddi nodded. “Damn straight. I want to be a bridesmaid”
“Your gonna have to wait a few more year’s, Maddi, before anyone of us get married” I pointed out.“I know. But, come on. We have to needle Asha into bringing her smiling project when we go to New York” Maddi beamed.
“YES! Averie, you can’t miss that, can you?” I teased.
She didn’t answer, which caused us both to sigh out loud.
“I would read you some music Averie, but Mason stole my book” I whined, then froze. I was so comfortable around Maddi that I would let go of my deepest darkest secret’s without a blink.
“He STOLE your music book? Did you ruin him?” Maddi demanded.
I smiled. “I have the ability to climb roves”
Maddi bursted out laughing. “Oh my god, did you?”
“Yes” I nodded.
“Oh, that is priceless. Where is the bastard?” Maddi asked, calming her laughter.
“Living right next door to us” I repeated.
Maddi grinned. “Oh, that’s right. Well, I hope he isn’t a peaking Tom. Or I am going to have to do terrible things to him”
Please do.
“That won’t be necessary”
We both laughed, and eventually stopped talking to Averie. Mike had texted me during our talk, saying he had to run, so we had to walk home. At this, Maddi had decided she was going to Hotwire someone’s bike to drive home.
