This book is about a girl who is struggling with insecurities, depression, bullies, abusive parents, and she has no one to help her through it. Her "friends" don't notice, her parents don't care, her teachers stopped asking, and her doctor isn't helping. She wants to be normal and she wants to be happy but how can she do that when she's to afraid to ask for help. She took on bad habits but nothing helped. She soon meets someone who really wants to help her, he promised to do anything to help her because he was once in that same position minus the abusive parents. He wants her to see herself the way he sees her.
They were doing so good. She was on the right path but one night after partying a little too hard with her so called "friends". She was in a tragic car accident and the other two people in the vehicle died, but she made it. Somehow she made it out alive, but not without nearly 5 surgeries, dying twice along the way, and losing her memories. She forgot who he was and what he did for her...he was heart broken when it happens.
Over the few months they knew each other, he fell in love with her. When the accident happened and she didn't remember her, it hurt him so much. After the accident he sits up crying at night wanting everything to go back to normal, he wants to go back to when they were able to just sit and watch movies together for hours on end.
