October 15th, 9:15 am

Gerard always woke up first. He was such an early bird. Up at the crack of dawn, singing softly to whatever popped up on his Spotify. Coffee was brewing as soon as he was out of bed. He always tried to stay as quiet as he could so I could sleep in.

I woke up, alone, in the bed the next morning. The hairdryer running full blast from the bathroom. I was nervous to talk to him, especially after what he walked in on the last time he'd seen me. I went to the door and knocked, hoping it was loud enough for Gerard to hear. I heard the hairdryer shut off.

"Morning, sugar!" He said cheerily, swinging the door open.

Fuck, he was even more beautiful in the light. His near platinum silver-blonde hair was messily styled, his face not yet shaved and covered with short dark stubble. He was wearing a black and white striped shirt with a blue flannel over it. He ducked his head forward and pressed his lips to mine quickly.

"M-morning." I stammered, trying to process all of this.

"Do you like my hair? I had it done yesterday. What do you think?" He ran a hand through it.

"It looks awesome, Gee."

"Really? Thank you."

"You're welcome. I hardly recognized you." I said.

"That's the idea baby doll." He winked.

He took a last look in the mirror before rushing toward me. He wrapped his arms around my hips and lifted me into the air. He caught me so off guard that I squealed. He chuckled and put me down. His hands went to my hips and he pulled me close, staring down at me with a lazy smile.

"I wanna spend the day with you, Jo."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I wanna go to breakfast and just hang out with you."

"Oh, okay, I guess." I said. "Why are you being so nice to me all of a sudden?"

He frowned.

"Because my moods have been really bad lately and I don't like how I've been treating you." He whispered. "You're so sweet to me and I'm such an asshole."

"You're not...you're just..."

"Complicated."

"Yeah."

"You're so fuckin rad." He said, bringing his head down to kiss me again.

I let him, my eyes fluttering shut and my knees feeling wobbly. I was only wearing a t-shirt and a pair of panties he'd bought me. His hands went to my waist, sliding up until he was almost touching my breast. He suddenly pulled away, leaving me wanting more.

"Gee." I moaned softly, my eyes still closed. He ran his thumb over my cheek.

"You're so perfect, Jo. So innocent and pure and sweet. I can't destroy that." He said softly.

"What do you mean? You wouldn't destroy anything. I promise."

"I'm sorry." He kissed me softly, his lips barely ghosting over mine. "Do you want to have breakfast with me?"

I nodded. I got dressed with Gerard watching my every movement. He sat backward in a wooden chair, chin resting against the back. I pulled the t-shirt over my head and let it fall to the ground. I kept my arms wrapped around my bare breasts.

"Did those...hurt?" He asked, nodding towards my chest. I blushed under his gaze.

"Uh, kinda, I mean, all piercings hurt. I got these a few months ago so they're still healing. They ache sometimes but they don't hurt much."
