It was a stormy, cloudless night. The howling wind caused a nearby tree branch to scrape and wail against the rain-glazed window pane, which in turn startled a young blonde boy into painful coherence. He didn't have the slightest clue as to what time it was, just that he wanted to go back to bed.
Laying his head back down, milky white orbs came to a close once more. Just as he was about to wander back into the realm of dreams, there was another sound. This one invoked a sense of fear that had every hair on his body standing on end.
It was loud, much like the thunder outside, but came in quick succession six different times. The boy's brows furrowed as he tried to make sense of this foreign noise. What he hadn't been expecting was a loud pounding on his bedroom door.
A crack and crashing soon followed as the door fell off of its hinges and hit the floor. The boy, already hidden beneath his bed, heard the heavy fall of boots. He closed his useless eyes, highly sensitive ears picking up on every minute vibration the intruder's steps gave.
After a few, terror filled minutes, these steps slowly retreated. He then picked up on a man's thick English accent as they said:
"I couldn't find them. You sure that you heard correctly, Boss?"
The child held his breath and waited until the house was silent once more before crawling out of his hiding place, heading toward the entrance of his bedroom.
He didn't even make it to where the door had initially been before being gripped tightly by his shoulder length hair and was hoisted to his feet. Feeling this, the boy struggled and attempted to remove this vice grip.
"Lemme go!" He screamed, clawing at this individual's hand.
"Well, lookie what we have here." The intruder's voice sounded far more malicious than it had before. This caused a shudder to tear through the boy. He could practically see the devious smirk on his captor's lips, despite being blind from birth.
"Mum, Da!!! Help me!" He cried out, feeling something wet trickle down his thighs.
His captor's laughed, lifting him even higher which caused him to let loose an agonized yelp.
"That's it, cry for mummy and daddy. Too bad they'll never come." The man chillingly replied before bashing the boy's face interview the wall, effectively rendering him unconscious.
