Who is in her reflection?

Before I tell you my story, here's some background on my family. This may not sound important but trust me, it is. My grandparents had three children. The oldest one was Axel, also known as "Monic" because of his resemblance with their cousin Monica. My mom is the middle child, she was born a year away from Monic. Finally, there was Charlie, the youngest one born two years away from my mother. He had the exact same face as her, the only differences between them were the fact that he had green eyes, slightly paler skin and his tall stature, contrary to his siblings who were a bit shorter than the average kid. Charlie was always very particular. He usually played with the older kids an talked about some really scary stuff. His pasion was writing and reading horror stories, some times even ilustrating them. He distanced himself from people a lot, including his siblings.

Now, I'll tell you what happened. I was moving into a new house after "the accident". I was very exited since I was going to be neighbors with my older cousin Sophie and finally live a happy life with my parents. After a few weeks they installed a mirror in the bathroom, something that made me really happy because I liked playing with my reflection.

After a couple of hours I ran  away to my cousin's house.

-Priscila? What are you doing? You look like you saw a ghost or something- said Sophie.

-I saw a kid in the mirror! It had dark hair and green eyes!- I shouted in terror.

My cousin ignored me since the person I had just described was basically me, without going into too much detail. If only she knew the "kid" I mentioned was an older kid, probably around thirteen years old with short hair and twisted smile.

Years had passed and I forgot about that once in a life time paranormal experience. To this day I don't know how I could forget about it. I was visiting my uncle, who lived in a small cabin in the woods. I was sleeping peacefully, until a cracking sound woke me up.

-It's probably just a wild animal who stepped on some sticks... but maybe I should check anyway-. I looked out the window only to see a familiar figure staring at me, it's eyes suddenly opened widely.

The next morning everyone could tell I was nervous and... terrified, to be honest.

-Sistah? Is something wong?- asked my concerned younger brother, mispronouncing a couple of words as always.

-Huh? I'm fine... Don't worry-.

I tried to understand what happened last night when I used my flashlight to see the creature stalking me, even though I regreted looking at its eyes. I had seen the same person before, or at least someone similar, there wasn't any doubt.

As soon as I came back home I could barely sleep, actually, I could barely blink without having a panic attack. I knew something weird was happening and I at least wanted to know what to do. Lucky me, I've always been very analytic. I went to school- ok, I DRAGGED myself to school. My friends were concerned about the bags under my eyes, I was concerned about what kind of thing had been stalking me for seamingly years. I was hesitant at first but finally i decided to tell them what I was so scared about.

-Pris, stop joking. We know you just spent all night watching horror movies... again- said Leon, with his caracterystic accent.

-I... I believe her. I think she's actually telling the truth- replied Rose.

-What? C'mon, you know more than anyone that something as wierd and creepy as that is made up. You have got umm... some sort of experience with paranormal stuff, right?- asked Leon, slightly confused.

-Listen, I'm pretty sure i could tell if she was lying, I'm an expert about this kind of thing- answered Miller.

We went on and on about what i told them, but finally I convinced them it wasn't a prank, not this time. Mistcha was a little skeptical though, but Alfred managed to convince her by saying that we've been best friends long enough for him to know if I was lying over something that usually catches the attention of enough people in my friend group that it would be easy to tell if I was just kidding.

After school, I went home with Alfred as he texted his parents telling them we were going to hang out for a couple of hours as usual. As soon as we entered my house my mom greeted us and told me dad had to work extra hours today and wouldn't come home until midnight. I headed to my room, closed the door and turned on my computer, trying out some of those cliche ghost haunting websites that Miller and Rose usually visited. Nothing would fit the description of whatever that kid was. I was about give up and maybe try to get one of those wierd Necronomicon style books they read, until finally I found a creature that actually seamed like it was the right option: "multantes vindice conscientia", i think it meant somthing in latin. They had a human like silouette, a distorded face and unhumanly looking eyes. Yup, this is definitively something they knew about.

We investigated until he had to go home, since his parents would probably be worried. That became our new routine: lunch, school, research, dinner, sleep, repeat. My friend group went from "be more chill" to "Mystery skulls". We found out that whatever was watching me wanted some sort of closure, we just needed to know what they needed. Easy, right? We thougt about using a ouija board, but Miller had a different idea.

-I heard about an easier way to talk to this kind of things... besides, it isn't as risky.-

He explained to us the so called "diary game". We just needed to write some questions, leave the room, come back in a couple of minutes and burn the page to end the game. We agreed to use his diary in my house and finally put an end to this. We started asking things like "are you there?" or "what's your name?". After what seamed like an eternity we finally ended the game and NEVER played it again. We made a deal and I gave them what they wanted, closure. A way out of the endless cicle of sorrow and lament they were going through. It's going to take some time, but I'm... happy to know that they're no longer alone. That they have a purpose that won't let them hurt anyone anymore.

I left out a very important part to this story, though. Before I left my uncle's house I looked for my glasses in the drawer, but when I looked in, I became shocked. There was an old photo, perhaps taken about twenty years ago, that had been torn apart. Even though it was decaying due to its age, I could recognize one of the kids, posing just like a painting in my grandma's house. It was my mother with her two siblings. She was holding her older brother's hand while their younger brother pulled on her dress. THAT was the torn off part, my uncle's part, but it still showed his hand trying to get my mother's attention and a little bit of his green eyes... It was probably taken months or weeks before her siblings went missing only to be found dead a couple of days later.

Long story short: I'm stuck with my uncles for the rest of my life. On the bright side, they're really nice kids and apparently I have a "gift". Not many people can see the dead, you know? Usually those who are close to them or have near death experiencies see this kind of things. At least, that's what Rose told me.
