The Manipulator

Hey guys, guess who isn't dead. I'm sorry for not updating for so long. I really didn't have the time to nor the motivaton too. I still have ideas for this story and will cotinue it for as long as you want me to.

3rd Person P.O.V.

"You might want to take a look at this picture."

Megan's eyes widen. "W-what?! How dare he!"

"Oh well. I guess you lost my dear"

"Shut it." She walked around looking at the picture "No no no. He thinks he can just do this to me? Fat chance! Roman is gonna pay. And that stupid ""boyfriend"" of his. Thanks for your services."

The guy nods and walks away. Megan stays alone starring at the picture. How should she handle this?

~the next day~

Roman's P.O.V.

For first time after so many years I felt that I was finally doing the right thing. I cut knots with that toxic ""friend"", I talked things out with Patton and finally was in a relationship that I actually felt that flame. Still...I had to break up with Megan and that seemed pretty hard...I didn't want to hurt her after all.

I walked to school where I found Virgil "Morning honey" I kissed his cheek

"hey" Virgil smiled "Soooo have you talked with her?"

I sighed "no...not yet. I-I'll do it today. Don't worry." I assured him before walking to the lockers.

Megan approached me. She kissed my Cheek as always and smiled "Morning Roman-Love"

"Hey Megan.."

"what's wrong Roman-Love?" she asked with that sweet innocent tone of hers.

I was honestly feeling bad breaking up with her "Megan...I..we...uhh...I think we should...break up. I'm sorry...You deserve better."

Megan smiled? What? Her smile though had something twisted in it. "Yes. I do." she grabs my hand and pulls me closer. She whispers to my ear "Have you noticed how people at acting around Derek? The students learned about yesterday's incident and everyone hate him. You saw his locker? Someone spray painted the word "Deceit" on it. He might hid it, but some tears spilled from his eyes."

I kinda felt bad for Derek. Yes okay...he was a jerk...but still..."Why are you telling me this? He deserved it" I didn't mean that.

"Oh he did? Well let me tell you something. He is innocent" She giggled "Roman honey. I did everything. He was my puppet. Yet I convinced you and the WHOLE school that he is the villain and I was the victim." she pushed something on my chest. A photograph "I destroyed him. Now question yourself, how Long do you believe that I'll remain patient before destroying you too? You will not break up with me. We will be the picture perfect couple. You will break up with Virgil but don't dare tell in anyone about our little conversation. Or else say goodbye to your reputation. Say goodbye to everything you knew. And say goodbye to your precious Virgil." she pulled away and spoke with normal voice "See you later honey" she pecked my lips and walked away.

I just stood there. Speechless. Trying to process everything. So she was a manipulator. Derek was innocent and I was one of her toys. I looked down at the photograph and my eyes widened. It was me and Virgil kissing. Who? How? How did she get this? Who photographed us?!

I shoved the photograph into my backpack and walked away. I passed Derek's locker with the word "Deceit" on it. I couldn't believe Megan manipulated us that way. She simply dragged us into her little game and now we would all get hurt. I tried looking around to find Derek.

The bell to first period rang. I was about to get in class when I herd sobbing from the boy's bathroom. I walked in. The bathroom was empty except one stall that was locked "Hello?"

"Go away..." a shaky voice said. I knew that voice.

"Derek?"

"I said leave me alone!" His voice cracked. I sighed and walked closer. "Look Derek...I'm sorry...now I know that truth...I know you are innocent..I know what Megan did. Please come out...Did she threaten you? What happened?"

The sobbing stopped and he unlocked the stall. He wiped his tears away. Wow...I've never seen him crying, ACTUALLY crying before.

"Talk to me.."

"She did threaten me.."

"With what?" I gave him a tissue

Derek sighs "She said that if I didn't do as she was saying she would tell people about my disorder..." He looked down "It got worse...When she found out about Logan...Then she was threatening me that she was going to out me AND tell Logan that I was just playing with him since I am emotionless and can't feel love.."

"Were you?"

"No. No Roman I wasn't. It's true. I can't feel love or any other emotion but...For Logan...it was different...He...he made me feel love...Then she came and destroyed everything...She made me hurt him multiple times and then use him...be a toxic person for him.."

"Wow.." I couldn't believe in my ears. "She is making me break up with Virgil...hurt him...So I'll be with her...and we will be the ""picture perfect"" couple of the school...or she will out me and Virgil and hurt him.." I looked down.

Derek looked at me "I'm so sorry..."

"I-I don't know what to do. I really don't.." I said desperately "Can I have a hug?"

Derek blinked and hesitated for a moment but  he hugged me.

I hugged back "I'm sorry...I know you hate hugs.."

Derek rubbed my back softly in a comforting way "It's okay...calm down..it's gonna be alright..."

"Thanks...And Derek?"

"Hm?"

"I don't think you are emotionless...You are just scared of showing and expressing emotions that you are lying to yourself saying you don't have them."

Derek stayed silent.

Maybe Roman...Maybe
