winter creeps.
winter creeps upon us like an old friend.
Bringing us little pieces of cut lace covering the ground.
Bringing us rosy cheeks and shivers.
Bringing us the smell of fresh pine and burning wood in the fireplace.
Bringing some of us laughter and joy,
And leaving others with a hazy feeling of lonlieness.
Bringing children dreams of sugarplums and gingerbread,
And leaving adults with the stress of purchasing gifts and cooking scrumptious meals.
But in the end,
We welcome winter as an old friend.
