The sound of the door opening jolts me up from my sleep. Suppose I had fallen asleep. A pang of guilt hits me in the chest like a bullet, memories flooding into my head. As I'm caught up in my emotions I don't notice the guards stepping inside with Bellamy, in street clothes, and cuffs.Bellamy is shoved to the ground and lands on his side with a thud and a groan. I stand immediately, ready to rush the guards but one raises his assault rifle and aims at my chest.
"Don't fucking move. He's a traitor, so he'll be joining you. Have all the fun you want." The guard spits out his words and they back out of the room, dropping the hand cuff key on the ground behind them.
Once the door locks I dash for the key and turn to Bellamy, helping him. "What happened? Did someone over hear us from the hallway? Did you tell someone?"
Questions flood from my mouth as I unlock the cuffs, Bellamy waves me off and rubs his head. "Would you cram it with the god damn questions! I shouldn't have agreed to help you, now both my sister and I are trapped in this god damn place!" His voice is hostile, and his posture suggests he wants nothing to do with me.
"Look I'm sorry, I really am. But see the bright side.. Now you can be assured that your sister will be as safe as she can be."
He looks at me with a confused expression. "You think that her being in here is safer than her being at home with my mother and father?! In this place she's now a liability to me, to you, and to everyone she befriends." His voice breaks and he turns away from me, getting up and leaning near the door.
More guilt rushes through me, knowing that Bellamy and his sister are stuck in the awful place. Words don't even form when I try to speak, not knowing what to say or how to comfort him. Now we both have to live with the fact that we brought that young girl into this place, potentially to die.
"She's only ten.. A ten year old girl shouldn't be exposed to those kinds of things. She might not even make it through the first night in that hell." He lowers his head and places it in his hands, shaking it. More guilt floods my mind and makes my chest feel tight.
"Bellamy.. I promise that I will protect that little girl as-" Bellamy cuts me off.
"That's not good enough!" His voice rings out and echoes in the room; the sudden vocal explosion startling me, but also causing a small rage to boil over. "Well what else am I supposed to do other than sit here and wait for someone to toss us into the unknown that you keep mentioning!"
He spins and looks at me, a scowl on his face, his hands balled into fists by his side. "It's all your fault that me and my sister are stuck in this mess. I should haven't agreed to help you, I should have just left you in this room with those stupid cuffs!"
I sit back, sighing and deciding to let it all go, knowing arguing over this will get us no where. His face changes again, to a stony expression as he sits down next to the door, his arms on his knees.

We remained in total silence for the next five hours, waiting with blank expressions but with whirling minds. Thinking of what's to come, and what might have to be done just to survive.
Foot steps begin to echo down the hallway, causing Bellamy to jump up to his feet. But then more follow, sounding like hundreds of people shuffling down the hall, but no voices follow them.
"It's happening.. We'll be collected soon, so don't fight with them or you'll only get dumped out there unconscious which could kill you." His voice is quiet, but stern. I stand up before I respond, stretching out my legs and my arms, feeling stiff after sitting for so long. "And what exactly is waiting for all of us out there?" I ask with a slight twinge of fear.
