Imagine the day,
Your freedom is taken away.
Swept away to some old man's farm,
To be a wife in his arms,
Used at any moment,
Of any day,
For what he wants to do with thee. That faitful day came to me,
The farmer man that chose me,
Was twice my age and height,
A filthy man filled me with fright. As soon as we arrive and newly wed,
I thrash and I kick,
To keep out of his bed,
His face full of shock and guilt. He didn't bother to learn my name,
Days filled with silence,
He failed to sweep me off my feet,
Just thought he could take me away.I spoke to the trees,
And the animals that lie within,
With the idea to run away,
To the fields I hid.
Him and his stupid friends Chase after,
For their jewel they cannot live without! Now caught and kept locked away,
In the attic is where I lay.Years pass by and nature starts to wither,
No children to spoil at Christmas,
No speaking between us,
Silence takes the sky.Something lies within his eyes,
He hasn't tried to force me,
He never had the thought,
Maybe he was ok.Time goes by and I start to wonder,
A bad decision I might have made,
To turn away a man so true,
To respect me for who I am.Maybe I could learn to love him,
For he has tried,
To make me happy,
In my life.
