Black and White Chapter 2

Shadow: (doing push-ups and counting, and a view of everyone else, and what their doing) 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, (view of him in the battle room, still counting and doing push-ups) 118, 119, 120... (flashback of him and Polie) Polie: (flashback voice) so? We're cool? Shadow: (flashback voice, smiles) yeah. Both: (hugging and getting ready to kiss) 1... 2... 1... (slightly blushing) 1... 2... Scrat: SHAD! Shadow: Ah! (opens his eyes wide, then falls to the floor) ngh. Scrat: (bends down to look at him, smiley smirk) Ha! You can't even do 122 push-ups, you are so weak. Shadow: (looks up at him, a bit mad) oh yeah? Well you can barely do 10, ya idiot. Scrat: (sits back up, arms crossed, sassy look) that's cuz, I don't want to. Polie: (coughs to get their attention) Shadow, Scrat, Jinny: (bow low to him, smile) Polie: (looks at them, smiles) alright you guys. Same positions as yesterday. Me: another day of training. After all the training is over for today. Polie: (smiles and looks at them) Good work today everyone. We'll continue at 7:00 Am tomorrow. Scrat: (surprised and shocked look) AT 7:00?! You want me dead?! Jinny: (looks at him smiles and raised eyebrow look) well maybe if stopped sleeping on the couch. You'd be able to survive longer for training in the morning. (walking out the battle room with him again) Scrat: (points at her, kinda mad look) oh yeah?! Well maybe if you sleep on the couch then you'll uhh... Be cooler! Jinny: (not really impressed with that comeback look at him) wow, your comebacks are even worse than your fighting styles. And that's actually saying something. Scrat: (still pointing at her, still kinda mad) I know! Shadow: (looks back at Polie, thinking) I wonder if Polie's still thinking about the kiss? And, what were gonna do about it? Polie: (looks back at Shadow, leaving the battle room) huh? Shadow: (against the wall, thinking) God damnit Shadow! Get your shit together man! Polie: (sighs) he's probably... Just worn out. Me: Even more days of battling and training. Then, later one night. Scrat: (on the couch, paws behind his head, opens one eye, looks at Jinny) hey Jinn Jinn? Jinny: (in the recliner chair, paw on her cheek, glances over at him while reading her favorite book) yeah bro? Scrat: well... I've just been noticing some strange things happening, because you know? That's what like to do. And I see that it's getting really weird around here now, ya know? Jinny: (smiles, and chuckles a little bit) you? Noticing things? Wooow. Scrat: yeah. I mean, Polie's back, big creepy statues are gone, Shad's finally coming out of his room, and... Everything should be fine and dandy now, don'tcha think? But it's still weird, Polie and Shadow.. They just.... Ignore each other now. Okay... I'll admit, it's a nice change from all the consist fights and all. But it's still.. Just.. Puts me off. Jinny: (smiling, looking at her book) well... To be honest, I really don't think we have anything to worry about, I mean... Polie being back is making everyone feel better and sort of starting to forget what happened while he was gone. And as for the creepy statues? We did that as a team, as one. But there's still much going on topside that we don't even know about. The cops are on watch, 247. It's still sort of pretty dangerous for us to go up there, and Master Sonic and Shadow, must be aware of that. And as for Shadow coming out of his room, and him not fighting with Polie anymore? I see it as an improvement for all of us. Including for him and our family. Maybe they both talked things out and they just need time to reflect on things. Scrat: (holding a video game controller, smug look) I really hope you're right sis. Then maybe things will be normal around here again. Me: is that really a freaking fucking game controller? Jinny: (looks down at her book again) yeah. But were things ever normal around here? Scrat: (looks at her) hm? (paw out towards her, smiles) See?! This is why you're the smart one! Your just so smart, funny, cute, beautiful, fabulous and perspicacious. Is that the right word? Perspicacious? Jinny: (looks at him smiles) well.. I guess so, yeah. Scrat: (smiles) sweet! I just learned it on TV! (looks around) where are they anyways? Shadow: (just came out of the shower, rubbing his fur with a towel) I'm right here moron. Scrat: (freaked out look) EEK! Jinny: (smiles) and Polie's with Master Sonic. Scrat: (looks at them and smiles, jumps over the couch) I'll go make some popcorn! Shadow: (sits on the couch, putting his inhibitor rings back on) hpmh. Scrat: (in the kitchen, shouts out) I'll make it extra buttery and salty! Okay?! Shadow: hmm. Jinny: (still reading, and now humming the MLP theme song) Shadow: (looks over at Jinny) hey Jinny? Jinny: (still reading, then stops reading again, and looks over at Shadow) yes Shadow? Shadow: (looks down, sad face) I wanna say that... I'm sorry.... For.... Ya know? (looks at her, still sad face) Acting like a bastard, when it was just the three of us. Jinny: (soft smile) oh Shads, it's okay. (smile smirk) You know that you can't help being yourself. Shadow: (smug annoyed look at her) ha ha. Very funny. (kinda sad look down again) But seriously though. I'm sorry. Jinny: (points out, apologizing look) Shadow, for real. Don't worry about it. I wasn't any better. And I'm sorry too. Shadow: (eyes closed, smiles, cool look) yeah. Okay. Cool. Scrat: (comes out of the kitchen holding a popcorn bowel, behind the couch, smiles, amazed sparkle eyes) Oh My God you guys! (can't believe it, joyful smile, holding the popcorn bowel, standing behind the couch) That was just so beautiful! Shadow: (freaked out look a bit) scary. Scrat: (smiles at him) so?! When do I get my apology? Shadow: (smug look, knocks the popcorn bowel out of his paws, smug look) yeah. You deserved everything I did to you. Scrat: (sees it fall) ACK! NO! Shadow: (puts his hands behind his quills, smile smirk) heh, starting to feel better already. Jinny: (smiles and chuckles a little bit at him) Scrat: (catches the popcorn bowel, one eye open and closed, breathes out) whew. Catastrophe aborted. Master Sonic: you've done an excellent job in training your brothers and sister Polie. I'm surprised but proud of you to carry such a big task on your shoulders. Polie: thank you Master Sonic, father. We try our best to become real true heroes. We have an amazing and excellent mentor after all. Me: Master Sonic The Hedgehog, fur color, blue, eye color, green, he's basically the father and Master of the TeenAge Ninja Furries. We don't really know that much about him. Other than the fact that he's very, very, VERY fast, and very, very wise. Master Sonic: (smiles) enjoy your movie night Gang, I will rest up for the night, don't stay up too late. (leaves) Polie: (smiles, looks at him) we won't. Scrat: night! Polie: (smiles, looks at the others) so? What are we watching? Scrat: (gives him the popcorn bowel) oh oh oh! I picked the best movies ever! (zooms out) zoom! (zooms back in, holding four discs) the Shrek movies! Polie: (sits down next to Shadow, raised eyebrow look) Shrek movies? Sounds interesting. Scrat: (puts the first DVD disc in the DVD player, and sits down on the floor) it's a computer animated movie franchise, about an ogre. Jinny: (looking at him and the movie) why is he interested in this? What's so great about these movies? Do the humans like them? And how are these the best movies ever? Hmm, maybe I'll make all this the next subject of my next study. Shadow: (thinking) okay Shadow, stop being a retard, there's nothing to be nervous about, just say something. (puts his hand on his head and arm up on the couch and kinda looks at Polie, but not really) so? Uhh... I guess you couldn't really watch any movies in the Arctic huh? Polie: (looks at him quickly, surprised look) Scrat: SSSHHH! Me: Sorry, if I hurt your ears. Polie and Shadow: (smile smirk and little annoyed looks) .... Scrat: trying to watch the movies here! Both: (stay quiet) ... Scrat: Thank you! Polie: (smiles) well... (thinking about what he saw while he was gone) Watching cute animals play in the snow and cold water flow was exciting or amazing as any old movie. (snort sound) Shadow: (raised eyebrow, smile smirk look) that's all there was in the Arctic? Animals and snow? Polie: (looks back at him, smiling) pretty much. Scrat: (holds out his right paw) popcorn! Pronto! Polie: (gives him the popcorn bowel) Shadow: wow, glad I wasn't sent out there, doubt I could've indoored the ice life. Polie: (smiles) haha! Scrat: (eating popcorn and getting annoyed) you guuuuys! This movie night is serious business! And your both ruining it! Polie: (smiles, touches his mouth a little) okay, okay, sorry. Shadow: but now I'm being serious, why does this movie have to be about ogres? Polie: (smile smirk look at him) you still don't like ogres? Come on Shads. Shadow: (makes a creepy look and moves his fingers) no, really, why do they have to be so big green and ugly? And live in a swamp? Or fall in love with a human, ogre princess? They're so disgusting and can't do anything but just scare off the hunters. Scrat: (looks at him, shocked surprised and dumbfounded) CAN'T DO ANYTHING BUT SCARE HUNTERS?! Polie: (chuckles a little bit) Shadow: (arm in the air) I mean, kittens are cute, why isn't movie about kittens? I wouldn't mind having a little kitten fallen in love with a princess. Polie: (smile smirk look at him) then are you scared or disgusted of the movies Shad? They are about ogres and love? Shadow: (smile smirk look back at him) heh, a little? Wanna hold my hand? Polie: (tisks) Both: (continue watching the movies) Shadow: (one arm behind the couch and starts moving it up to touch the back of Polie's head) Polie: (surprised, blushing slightly, accepts it and smiles) Both: (look at each other and smile and go back to watching the fourth and final movie) Scrat: (not happy look) well those movies sucked. Shadow: (quickly moves his hand away, now on top of his own head) Scrat: (turns his head to look at them, pointing at the TV) honestly?! This is what they show human kids these days?! No wonder they're all insane. Well, that's many hours of our lives we'll never get back, now I get it why I found these at the dump, cause they all stink! They weren't really that good. (looks at the recliner chair and sees it's empty) Right Jinny? Huh? Where'd Jinny go? Polie: (points to the left) she went to her room about an hour ago. Scrat: (stands up, rubs his tail) oh. Polie: (points up) uhh? Bro? Why do you have that bowel on your head? Scrat: (scoffs) uhh, it's not a bowel if it's on my head bro, it's a hat. Polie: but your already wearing one... Nevermind. Scrat: (smiles, walks past them and the couch, and up-to his room, tips the bowel hat) well then goodnight guys! Shadow: (looks at him) goodnight Scrat-cat! Polie: (looks at him too) night bro! (looks back at Shadow, smile smirk) were you okay or alright? They was a lot of ogres and lovey dovy parts at the end of all'em. Shadow: (looks back at him, smiles) tssh. I manged. (hands up, still smiling) I just closed my eyes and pictured a grass field. Polie: (looks at him, smile smirk) full of kittens? Shadow: (looks at him smile smirk back at him) full of kittens. Especially a white one. Polie: (smile smirk still) tss. Both: (smile smirk at each other) Shadow: (touches his cheek, leans in a bit and kisses him) Polie: (kisses him back a little bit, but then stops and breaks away, surprised, looks down, blushes) Shads wait!... We!... We shouldn't!... Shadow: (worried and knowing look at him) I know. (kisses him again) Polie: (stops, paws on his shoulders) it... (eyes closed, worried look) Last week was a mistake. Okay? (kisses again) Shadow: (sad, worried, wanting look, hands on his shoulders too) I know. But I can't stop thinking about it. (kisses him one more time) Polie: (paws and arms raised, about to grab him) Shad... We c.. We can't... Huh... Both: (kiss again and hold each other, then break away) Scrat: (from his room) seriously you two?! Are you guys really watching the end credits?! At least turn the volume down a bit! I've got work tomorrow ya know! Polie: sorry we couldn't find the remote! Scrat: Jinny had it! Polie: (grabs the remote and turns the TV off) o-okay! Got it! Scrat: (smiles) thanks! Night! Polie: (looking down, still surprised blushing) goodnight. (puts the remote down on the couch) Both: (looking down, still blushing, sad looks) Polie: (looks away from him) see? This is why we can't. Shadow: (looks at him) what? Scraty? Polie: (gets up) I'm going to bed. Shadow: (reaches out to him a little) Polie, wait, I!... Polie: (walks past the couch and to his room) goodnight.
