Into the light

My name is Lucy Strongheart and i am 32 years old as of yesterday. I have a loving husband named Emmet and a beautiful set of twins named Matt and Molly who are 13. Emmet and i love spending time with the twins so we take a family vacation every year. We've already been to places like Disney World, Great Wolf Lodge, Worlds of Fun and many more but we always let the twins pick. This year, the twins decided that they wanted to take a camping trip. Emmet was excited because he liked spending time outdoors but me on the other hand, I definitely prefer to be indoors.

Emmet had all the camping gear we needed so we packed up quickly and set out to Olympic National Park. It was a long trip but we managed to make it fun. We played eye spy, car bingo and we pointed out every cow and horse. At one point the kids started playing slug bug but that didn't last long. Emmet and i took turns driving so everyone had a decent nap. It took us quite a while but it payed off nicely. The view was breathtaking and the kids absolutely loved it. We searched around for a bit until we found a nice little spot to ourselves and set up camp. While Emmet pitched the tent, the kids and i made a nice little fire pit and lit a fire. We explored the surrounding areas until it got dark then went to sleep.

The next few days went by fast. We went hiking, swimming, fishing, boating and much more. Everything was going great, that is until the fourth night we were there. Emmet had stepped out to pee, while the twins and i were sleeping soundly in the tent. We were awoken by a loud sound. We thought it was Emmet so i told them not to worry and to go back to sleep. When i got out and turned around, i was not met by Emmet, but instead a huge grizzly bear.
