“Annabelle,” Echo says, walking over, “you okay?”
Annabelle shrugs and sighs. “I don't know,” she looks out of the window in her room in Azgeda or Ice Nation.
Echo wraps an arm around Annabelle and inhales her strawberry scent. “You smell good,” she says as she exhales, smiling.
Annabelle blushes a little and moves away from Echo. “I need to get ready,” she says, moving her brown lushes hair over to one shoulder.
“Right,” Echo nods, helping Annabelle into her gear, “please don’t die.”
“Ech,” Annabelle looks at her, “just because I’m fighting Leksa Kom Trikru doesn’t mean I’m gonna die.”
“You might,” she mumbles, sitting on the edge of the princess’ bed.
Annabelle walks over to Echo and sits on her lap, creasing her cheeks with her hands. “Ge smak daun, gyon op nodotaim,” she says, kissing Echo softly.
The royal guard kisses back, smiling. “Yu gonplei nou ste odon,” she says back.
Annabelle nods. “Ai gonplei nou ste odon,”
Echo smiles at the girl sitting on her lap and kisses her neck, making the princess giggle. The Azeda princess gets off of Echo and blows her a kiss before leaving.

During the fight, Lexa knocks Annabelle off her feet, causing Echo to almost intervene, Roan, stopping her.
“She’s going to kill her!” Echo exclaims to the prince.
“No, she’s not,” Roan says, taking a glance at Echo, then back to her sister and the commander.
After Nia’s speech about Annabelle becoming a legend amongst her people for killing Lexa, the Commander throws the spear at Annabelle’s mother, impaling her. Nia dies almost instantly as Annabelle watches in horror.
“Queen Nia is dead!” Lexa speaks then looks at Annabelle, “long like Queen Annabelle!”
After that announcement of the new queen, the crowd erupts in cheers and the Azgeda people chant, “Long live Queen Annabelle!”
Annabelle looks at Lexa who nods at her and walks away. Annabelle lays her head on the ground, breathing heavily. She puts a hand over her wound as Echo and Roan run over. Roan looks at his sister and snickers.
“My Queen,” he bows his head playfully.
Annabelle chuckles and winces in pain. “You wish you were king, Roan,” she says as Echo examines the wound.
Roan smirks and picks up his sister and brings her to the healer in Polis, or rather, Clarke Griffin since she was available at the time. By the time Roan gets to Clarke, Annabelle has passed out from the amount of blood that was lost. Clarke stitches the wound and places her in a bed in the tower. Echo sits next to Annabelle, studying her face.
“What is it?” Annabelle asks, causing the guard to jump.
“U-um I was wondering- what does Annabelle mean, exactly?” Echo asks.
“Years of being together and you bring this up now?” Annabelle jokes.
“Well, I wanna know a nickname that I can call you when we’re alone,” Echo says, blushing a little.
“Anna means graceful and Belle means beautiful,” the queen says.
Echo smiles, looking at her queen.
“What?” Annabelle asks, confused.
“Queen Belle. How does that sound?” Echo asks, the smile still playing upon her lips.
Annabelle nods, starting to smile. “Sounds perfect,”
