The ship we were on was going through hyperspace calmly. I was sitting on a chair in the cockpit staring out into the stars. My arm was being held by Felicity. She was patching up a cut I had gotten on the inside of my arm. Helaina was piloting and Efren was co-piloting.

We were sitting in absolute silence. Efren had placed a blanket over me, and Helaina had placed a cup of hot tea in my hand. It was a rare time when everything was perfect, and nothing was going wrong, which made us all on edge waiting for something to go wrong. Felicity finished bandaging the cut, then she let go of my hand. My arm curled into my side.

"There you're patched up." Felicity says.

"Thank you Flick, although I think you're all overreacting it was just a cut." I say.

"All cuts you get are worrisome." Felicity says playfully scolding me, but I knew she was being serious.

I feel myself smile.

"Is there anything else I can do for you?" Felicity asks.

I bite my lip thinking.

"Yeah. How's Wren?" I ask.

Felicity fixed me with a knowing stare. I swear Felicity was incredibly human-like for being an android. We had forged an almost friendship.

"Why don't you ask him yourself? This is getting ridiculous." Felicity says exasperated.

I shook my head Wren and I had gotten into a pretty serious argument. There was yelling, and tears. The whole ship knew about it, they just weren't acknowledging it. Felicity shook her head.

"He's holed up in your guys room still if that's what you're wondering." Felicity said.

I had been sleeping on Lincoln and Kira's ship while Wren and I cooled off. I rarely came to the Specter. Right now was a rare occurrence. I missed Efren, and everyone.

"Thank you Flick. That's all." I say.

Felicity nods, then stalks out muttering under her breath about how insane people were. I smile. She had a personality. I gently traced the rim of my tea cup with my finger. Wren and I were fighting a lot, and every time we fought it took us longer to make-up.

It felt like our relationship right now was made up of fighting, not talking, making up, then repeating. A gentle tear fell down my cheek I quickly wiped it away, then forced myself not to continue. The door opened, and I tensed. I relaxed when I saw that it was just Theo.

"Skye, I didn't know you were here." Theo says.

"Oh yeah. I just missed you guys." I say.

Theo plopped down in the chair across from me. His legs were thrown over the arm of the chair. I smiled slightly at that action. Theo's eyes landed on my new bandage and he leaned forward to grab my wrist. I begrudgingly let him take it.

"Now what happened here?" Theo asked.

"Nothing just a scratch." I say.

Theo raised an eyebrow.

"Really, a scratch that needed a full on gauze wrap?" Theo asks.

"Mom and dad over there insisted." I say laughing lightly.

Theo smiled, then he flinched.

"What Theo?" I ask.

"Efren disagrees with your just a scratch story, and you're lying about how bad it is." Theo says.

I quickly withdrew my arm from Theo's hands.

"Don't read my emotions. I asked you not to." I say cradling my arm in my other hand.

"I'm sorry Skye. It's not something I can control, and sometimes when emotions are so fierce I can't help it." Theo says.

"I know Theo. I'm sorry." I say.

Theo nodded, then turned to Efren.

"So what's happened?" Theo asks.

"Skye, fought a creature and it got her with its tail, and it had poison in its tail. She was poisoned two days ago, and didn't tell us until today a few minutes ago." Efren said calmly, but I knew Efren soon he would explode and his calm facade would fade.

"Skye! What the Hell!" Theo demanded.

"I got busy I'm sorry it slipped my mind." I say firing back.

"You forgot you were dying!" Efren demanded.

"It wasn't a bad poison I knew I was fine." I say.

That's when the calm facade broke, and it felt like lightning crackled off of Efren.

"Theo take the wheel." Efren said.

Theo didn't ask why. He practically vaulted over his chair to Efren's. Efren got up and walked over to me his eyes were full of anger. I crossed my arms over my chest, and stared defiantly back at him, although Efren was taller than me, but I held my ground.

"You knew you were fine?" Efren demanded.

I could almost feel the temper boiling under the surface.

"Yes I did. I knew the animal and I knew how long I could go without needing medical help." I shoot back.

"You're betting your life Skye! That's not something you should be betting!" Efren shouted.

The temper had broken through the facade.

"It's my life! I can do what I want with it! And that's not even true, because I don't control my life now! The crystal force does!" I yell, and then after I yelled that my hands covered my mouth. Even Efren lost his temper.

"I'm not in control of my own life." I whisper.

I collapse back onto the chair. I had been sitting on.

"Skye?" Efren asks.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys. I honestly don't remember those two days after I was poisoned." I whisper.

That seemed to rile Efren up again.

"They controlled you for two days?" Efren demanded.
