  Calum's P.o.V

I quickly unlocked the door and stormed inside and up to my room, locking the door behind me. Even though Ashton was being a complete asshole, I wasn't over him. I still liked him, but he's straight, so I'll have to settle for the fucked up cliché movie moment.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on my door. My first thought was Luke, but I prayed it was Ashton. I prayed I would open the door and Ashton would engulf me in his arms and kiss me. But, when I finally opened the door, I saw nothing but a pissed off Luke. I shut the door, but he forced it back open. "Calum, we need to talk," he said. "I have nothing to say to you Lucas," I spat, sitting on my bed.

"Okay, I admit. Trying to pull Ashton away from you secretly might not have been the best idea. I'm sorry," he apologized. "No you're not. Luke, you really crossed the line," I say. "How?" "Talking to Ashton about me. About me being this boy with broken heart syndrome. Like I can't handle myself. You made me seem like some love sick teenage girl from those fucking chick flicks you watch with your boyfriend!" I reply.

"Calum, you're overreacting," he says, trying to calm me down. "I don't think I am. You don't fucking understand that I wanted to keep my feelings a secret. At least until he admitted how he felt," I say. "Just fuck off Luke. I'm not in the mood to talk to you," I mutter, holding a pillow under my chin. He stayed in my room. "Get the fuck out of my room Luke! I don't want to talk to you!" I shouted.

He finally got the message and left my room. After he closed the door, I threw the pillow at it. I was just so mad, I considered it. I didn't do it, that would be an extreme reaction. I was just mad. I'm almost positive wanted nothing to do with me anymore. I go through my contacts and land in his.

  Joshua.

I dial it and wait. He doesn't answer, but after our breakup, I understand. We haven't talked since and its been almost a month. "Hey Josh, its Calum. Um, listen, I don't really like the way things ended between us. I was wondering if maybe we could meet up. Call me back? Bye ba- uh, Joshua," I stammer, sniffling for a while.

I decided to sleep for a bit. My phone started ringing. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey Calum," he said. It was Joshua. "Hey Josh." "So, what do you mean you don't like the way things ended between us? You thinking about taking me back Cal?" I shrug, but realize he can't see me. "I don't know. Can we meet up tomorrow?" I ask. "I can't do tomorrow, what about tonight?" "Josh, its nearly 9." "So? Luke doesn't still think he's got the parental lock on you, does he?"

"I don't know. Fine. Meet me at the field?" "Yeah, see you on ten." I hang up and wash my face. You couldn't see the dried tears, but I could still feel them. I changed and tied my Vans up. I leave my room and walk past Luke in the lounge. "Calum, where are you going?" I shrug. "Somewhere," I mumble. "Can you come here please? I need to talk to you." "Luke, I told you. You crossed the line. I have nothing to say to you. I'll be back in a little bit," I say, leaving before he has a chance to say anything.

I walk to the field a little while away from my unit. I lean against a post and wait for Josh, messing with my jacket sleeve ends. I hear slight footsteps and look up. My eyes lock with the dull blue of Josh's. "H-Hey," I say softly. He smiles. "Hey." I didn't realize how much I missed the sound of his voice in person. "You okay?" he asked. I just nodded.

"No you're not. I'm not an idiot Calum. Tell me," he says. I hug him tightly. "I missed you," I say. It wasn't a lie, it just wasn't why I was so down. "I missed you too. So what're you saying. Do you want to, you know?" he says. I shrug. "Its up to you," I say quietly. "What about that kid that pulled you away from me at the club?" he asks.

"He's just a friend," I mutter. "Did he hurt you?" I shook my head. "So... Can we?" he asks again. I smile a bit. "Please," I whisper. He picks me up and holds me, missing my forehead before putting me back down. I reach out for his hand and he laces our fingers. I smile and constantly lean against him as we walk.

"Mind if I?" he asks, leading me up to his unit. I was skeptical. But I needed the comfort tonight. "Not at all," I say with a slight smile. He smiled widely as I opened the door. Luke shot up. "Calum! Where've you-" he paused. "What is he doing here?" he asked. I stayed quiet, still holding onto my word of 'not wanting to speak to him'. I simply led Joshua up to my room, locking the door behind us.

"Everything alright between you two? You seemed awfully quiet," Josh pointed out. "Yeah, he just pissed me off earlier. I've had a long day, so I'm just gonna go to sleep. You're welcome to leave or stay," I say, taking off my shirt. Josh smiled and took off his own. "I missed you babe," he whispered, wrapping his arms around me as I pulled the cover up.

                                    + + + +

I woke up, and Joshua wasn't around me. I found a little note stuck to my pillow.

‘left around two. sorry love, stuff came up. still love you Cal. <3 text me later babe’

I smile slightly, but don't text him. I wasn't really in a conversation mood. I guess he really did miss me though. I get up and shower, taking my time. I get dressed and fix my hair. I then sneak down to the kitchen. "Calum!" Luke says when he sees me. I try to ignore him. "Cal, you can't ignore me forever. We fucking live together," Luke said. "But I can sure try, can't I Hemmo?" I spat, grabbing the cereal box. I reach for a bowl, but right when I grab it, Luke takes it and puts up higher.

I narrow my eyes. "Go fuck yourself, or better yet, fuck your boyfriend," I hissed, grabbing another bowl from the dishwasher. "Calum, we need to t-" "I have nothing to say to you. To you or Ashton. You guys are such assholes. Just leave me alone, okay?" I say. Luke sighs and leaves the kitchen. He comes back and stares at me. "What?" I snap.

"Are you and Josh a thing now?" he asks. I shrug. "I'm not talking to you, remember?"
