Old Soul ( RWBY Fanfic with my OC)

Chapter 1

" Where's Ruby?" Yang said looking around frantically despite the plentiful grimm before her. " Ruby!" Blake moved quickly before the grimm could strike Yang.

" Yang, focus." Blake reminded her as she slayed another.

" Focus?" With a loud grunt she fired at the grimm, killing it instantly. " I'm not losing her again."

Qrow grunted as he was knocked back into the ground. To avoid the grimm, he turned into a bird and flew upwards then landed a blow on the grimm's head thus, beheading it.

" You kids, focus on the grimm. I'll look for Ruby." He took his bird form and headed for the trees. ' Come on, kid. Where are you?' He thought to himself as he flew above the tree tops.

" Will he be alright?" Weiss asks the rest.

" He followed her before. If he says he can find Ruby then I'm sure he will." Blake said reassuringly. " Behind you." Blake jumped off a glyph and stabbed the grimm on its back.

Meanwhile, Ruby was against a few Ursi all on her own. With her speed she was able to dodge most of their attacks and even kill one or two despite the overwhelming size of those creatures. Qrow came down just in time to split one of them in half. The poor girl had a lot of grimm on her tail, she has the relic after all.

" You alright, kiddo?" He asked with a smirk. " Can't handle a few Ursi?"

" Shut up, old man." Ruby fired a shot hitting her target right in the eye.

" Hey, I ain't old." He cut off one head and blocked another attack for Ruby. But an inhumane roar took their attention as Beowolves and Nevermores joined the scene. " Just my luck." Qrow grumbled.

  Weiss summoned a Queen Lancer to help take down some of the grimm that surrounded them. She almost failed to notice a Beowolf inching too close. She gasped as it lunged to attack but an armored hand stopped it and soon it evaporated. None of them could comprehend what just happened.

" Blake, look out!" Yang landed a fist onto the grimm. " Oscar, protect the old lady!" The Ursi swipped the air and an umbrella stopped it short.

The two strangers moved quickly, taking down plentiful amount of grimm. One armed with an umbrella that also works as a cane. The other barely uses her weapon, a sword that changes into a gun, rather using her fists and gauntlets. There was something in their eyes that said something, looking for someone.

" Are you all alright?" The male said as he finished off the last grimm. " If everyone's alright then I'd like to ask if any of you have seen a 16 year old girl-" Before he could finish Yang fired a shot that was blocked by the armored woman.

" Wait," Weiss said with a warning tone. She studied the armored woman carefully and was sure she looked familiar. " You're...Miss Cloud?" The armored woman removed her helmet and looked at Weiss with her deep blue eyes.

" Ah, you're Winter's younger sister, right?" The woman asked with a smile. They all kept their weapons and studied the two, both had deep blue eyes and one was four years older than the other. " May I ask why your friend tried to shoot my brother?"

" Only if you tell us why you want Ruby." The two looked at each briefly and shrugged.

" Who?" He asked tilting his head. " You've got the wrong person. We're looking for someone else, violet eyes. Her name's-" The elder sibling held out her hand as she looked at her scroll. " Jan?"

" This is as far as I go." She said keeping her scroll. " We're off time, she's still not here. You can come back with me if you want, I have to get back to work tomorrow."

" But Jan, we're so close. Can't you ask her if she saw anything else or maybe any recent dreams that could tell us anything." Jan shook her head softly and he was quiet, he sighed as he glanced at his weapon. Oscar noticed the design carved on its hilt. He decided to keep it noted. " Alright, but if our Avi says that she really was here, then I'm coming back for her."

" Do what you want, Kyga. But we're off track. I'm sure she's still alive just...not here. Sorry to waste your time folks, stay safe." She said walking away with her brother walking behind.

" Wait, who are you looking for anyway?" Yang asked, their conversation sounded serious. " Maybe if we see her, we could- I don't know watch over her?"

" Our younger sister, she was taken by bandits about three years ago. A few months later the very same bandits turned up but she wasn't there. They said she fled, but no one found her ever since. Every police and huntsman told us that she was most likely gone but we don't believe that." Kyga said simply. " You lot look kinda busy. But if you see her, please keep her safe."
