Chapter Twenty Four

Ross P.O.V

I was playing hockey with by myself at an ice rink near my house. Usually when I play hockey it helps me think. Right now I was just so angry! I left the best thing that ever happened to me and I will never be able to fix it. 

I was so mad that I threw my hockey stick far into the bleachers. That’s when I noticed a girl like figure in the stands. 

“Oh I’m sorry. I thought I was alone.” I said. “It’s okay.” She replied. Her voice sounded so much like Melody’s. She walked down the steps and came into the light. She looked so gorgeous. She looked almost like Melody but her hair was brown. 

“Here you go.” She said. She said as she handed me my hockey stick. I smiled and took it. I accidently touched her hand and felt a connection. “So what’s your name?” I asked. 

“My name is Samantha.” She said. “Oh pretty name.” I said. “So you looked a little mad while playing hockey.” She said. “Oh it’s nothing.” I replied. 

Samantha and I got to know each other more and it felt as if I was talking to Melody. Her and Samantha have the same exact smile, laugh, eyes, same everything! 

“Hey um do you want to go and grab a burger or something?” I asked. “Sure!” She cheered. “Awesome let’s go!” I cheered. 

Rocky P.O.V

I was at my cousins house playing Rock Band with them. Man it is nice to see Colorado again. Jenna and Rydel were giving beauty a make over and Jordan and I were playing with Brandon, Brody, Bauer, and Blake. 

“Hey Rocky! Do you like my makeover?” Beauty asked. “Of course I do! You look prettier than Jenna!” I said. “Hey!” Jenna whined. I laughed. “I’m just joking. No one can be as pretty as you.” I said. “I know!” She exclaimed. 

“Anyways where’s Melody?” Jordan asked. “She’s in disguise.” Rydel replied. “Disguise? For what?” I asked. “You’ll know soon. But right now we need to prepare for the Moonlight Jam.” Rydel said. “Okay but do we know what song we’re doing? I don’t think we’re doing Heard it On the Radio anymore.” I said.

“Riker, Ratliff, and I know what song we’re doing! Let’s go practice in the basement. though.” Rydel said. “Okay.” I said. Jenna, Rydel, Jordan and I headed for the basement and started to practice. 

Samantha P.O.V 

I spent my whole day with Ross and it was really fun. We sat down and ate ice cream on park bench.While I was eating my ice cream he was staring at me. 

“What? Is there something on my face?” I asked. “Oh no! It’s just you remind me of someone. That’s all.” He replied. “Oh who?” I asked. “My girlfriend.” He responded. “You have a girlfriend?” I asked. 

“Well to her I’m her ex but I don’t want to be. I just miss her so much and every time I look at you. You remind me of her. I just can’t get her out of my head. But it’s useless because I know she doesn’t love me.” He said. 

“How do you know?” I asked. “Because the say I walked out that door she didn’t stop me. And the moment I fell in love with her was the moment I fell in love with my life.” He replied. 

Wow that was really deep. Maybe he does love…… me. 

“Ross, are you sure you love her?” I asked. “Samantha listen. You know you love someone when even though they broke your heart you can’t hate them for it cause your just drowned in their love. I know what I did was wrong and if I could go back and change what I did. I would. But I can’t. I know she probably already moved on so I guess I have too.” 

“Well, I know she regrets that she broke your heart. She’s truly sorry and I know she forgives you.” I said. He smiled and started to gaze into my eyes. I did the same. He leaned in and I did as well. 

Our lips almost met until he pushed me away gently. “What’s wrong?” I asked. “I’m sorry Samantha but I can’t do this.” He replied. “Well why not?” I asked. 

“Because it won’t feel right and I know it. I can’t kiss another girl unless that girl is my ex girlfriend. I’m sorry if I lead you on but I’m really in love with Melody. I mean like when I first fell in love with her I couldn’t stand being with out her for a week. Then it was day, then an hour, and then a minute. Now I can’t stand being with out her for just one second. I miss her soo much that my heart aches to be with her again. I mean it was easy for me to face the world with knowing that she was by my side but now I’m alone.” He said. 

Tears were poruing down his face. I wiped his tears with my thumb and smiled. 

Ross P.O.V

Samantha wiped my tears with her thumb and smiled. 

“Ross I have something to tell you.” She said. “What is it?” “Melody does love you and she does forgive you.” She said. “How do you know? You don’t even know her.” 

“Ross, I’m Melody.” She said. “What? No your not. I mean I know you look like her but you are definitely not her.” I said. She sighed and pulled out her brown hair to what turned out to be a wig. Her blonde locks fell perfectly down her shoulders and she finally looked up at me. 

“Melody?”
