"Sweetie, I've got to tell you something." said Liam his face tears stained and eyes red and puffy from crying. "You know how daddy Niall went in that trip?" he received a nod from the young girl. "Well in afraid he's going to e gone for a while."

"But why daddy? Where did Niall have to go?" the 6 year old girl asked.

"Well, Kat, he had to go on a trip." he said placing her on his lap.

"But how long will he be gone?" she said starting to get sad.

"I'm afraid a long while. Kat please don't cry." he said softly as tears formed in her eyes.

Baby girl, baby girl, please don't cry,  

Daddy will sing you a lullaby

"If only, if only, the woodpecker sigh, the bark on the tree was as soft as the skies..." sang Liam trying to calm Kat.

"B-bit why and where did he go?" she said hiccuping.

Liam looked sadly at her." He went to a place where e can get better, so he can get better." he said.

"And he'll be back?"

"I sure hope so my little kitty Kat... I sure hope so." he kissed the top of her head.

"I do too. Do you think he'll be able to see what we do?"

"Maybe. If you think about him hard enough. I'm sure he would be so proud." She nodded and went to get ready for bed.

------ 15 years later ------ 

"Daddy! Careful, you don't wanna wrinkle the dress!" laughed Kat as her dad picked her up and span her around.

"You mean I'm not allowed to be happy on my daughters wedding day?" shot Liam back. "You look beautiful by the way, Kat. Ni would think so too." he said and saw small tears form in her eyes.

"I know he's not coming back now... But do you think If I think about him hard enough he'll know what's happening?"

This brought tears to his eyes and he started nodding. "Of course, baby girl." he said. "Always."
