She stood there, quiet and still without even a word. Her ancient menacing, but beautiful, features stunned the room into silence. With a twist of her wrist, everything on the table vanished with the food included. Three different shaped objects floated onto the table in place of the relics.
"Who are you?" Arthur broke the silence, but his demanding question didn't sound as confident as it should have. Daniel sighed when Arthur stood up, which even he knew it was a mistake. Everyone flinched when she moved her finger up to her lip, "How dare you silence me in my own castle?" She rolled her eyes, when they came back into view, they were galaxy purple.
"Please, I must ask that you be quiet to obtain the knowledge you require to handle the task we're assigning to this council." She said politely. Her accent was alluring. It didn't even sound like she should be on Earth or Statera, but somewhere even older.
Out of anger, three large boulders lunged at her. Her eyes turned silver and her young face turned older and more angular. The closer the got to her, their motioned slow to almost a dead halt.
She whispered an enchantment that made the boulders fade into nothing. Arthur was now floating in midair before being slammed down into his chair. Another, similar looking, woman walked into the room and stood next to the other angrily.
"Foolish newcomer. You should know better than to attack a celestial." Hushed whispers echoed from the class sized group of people. Daniel wanted to ask questions, but for his safety, he kept his mouth closed.
"I thought the celestials were a myth." Apparently, Tyler was the bravest out of the group. Suggesting to someone that they don't exist is even bolder than even Arthur can attempt.
"In every Stateran school what is the first thing you learn?" She frowned at him, which stunned him to not speak. She waited patiently for a moment, "In every myth there is a grain of truth. It is disturbing that we've been rendered myths in a world of magic." She looked next to her at the woman that came into the room initially. Her long black hair was in beach waves that went down to her shoulder blades.
"I am Chryseis Verus, Creator of Space. We tend not to make ourselves known, unless my children are in trouble." She explained while the other woman with a grey dress paced around the table.
"I am the Lady of Time, Photina Verus." Her arms were behind her as her heels clicked on the stony floor, "The planet below you is alive. Statera is my niece and my sister's daughter. A breathing organism that is being threatened by a virus. A virus that you will contain. A virus that your child will cure and wipe out." She threatened before stopping behind Sydney and Kristen, making them nervous.
She looked from Daniel to Bestienna. She was about to say something, but kept walking instead, "So to reeducate everyone about yourselves," A nine colored diamond spun in the middle of the table, "You may know of only nine main elements, but there are way more than that." The other two spun, the smaller diamond revealed four people that came into view as shadows. Two of them were the women standing in front of them along with two other men.
"The celestials. All four of us possess four aspects of the universe, and the four of us alone created it and the magic that binds the worlds together." Photina then spun the other diamond, but only two people appeared.
"The triad elements. Elements that are created when three of the basic elements are combined to make one rare and dangerous element. These two are the elements of light and night, the other four haven't been discovered yet as far as we know." The images flashed back into the other diamond before it flickered away into nothing along with the other three.
"This has all happened before. Last time, the king of the ice kingdom captured the earth kingdom's relic, drained it of the magic by infusing his into it. In that war, the clans were created by the pure elements to act as armies to protect the relics from him. If Jake is anything like him, then we don't have much time before Jake gets ahold of your relics. Last time he was two away before The Chosen One was born, but thanks to Fairy biology. He'll be born in nine weeks." Both celestials looked at Isabel and Daniel like proud grandchildren.
"You say we don't have much time, but we would have to wait eighteen years before he grows up to be able to handle that kind of stress." Arthur commented, to Daniel's surprise. After being manhandled he wouldn't say anything to challenge them again.
"That is where we come in. After he's born, the four of us will help him age to eighteen on week at a time." She spat at him with an offended glare, "But until we come back, please keep the other relics safe. Also, avoid anymore pure elements from dying. Our spirit celestial feels each death as the aura searches for another soul pure enough to rule the kingdom." They were turned around to walk away, but Arthur stood up to say something.
"What if they don't want their child to grow up this way?" Arthur asked. Chryseis turned around with a sad expression on her face.
"This is a test to see if you can handle threats like this on your own. If not, I'll wipe the planet clean so she can be at peace. Don't be added to the list of planets that have already showed little care for my children. Statera isn't a place or a home, she's a privilege." She walked away without saying a word leaving everyone speechless. After then doors closed no one said a thing.
"Kat and Isabel. I need to speak to you." Bestienna got up with them, which officially ended the meeting.
