Unknown point of view (POV)
Entering the room with her hair in sections, separated with turquoise and gold bands, my friend Jasmine strutted towards me, her hair flipping to the side allowing the sun to hit her face, revealing her slight tan. She halted when the teacher questioned her.
She stared at the teacher because she hated it when people told her what to do. Especially her father. She was from Agrabah, which has a rule which states that before Jasmine's next birthday she had to marry. In Agrabah, she's the princess, her father being the sultan. He wants her to marry a rich and powerful man. They have a strong relationship but she rebels when it comes to people telling her what to do.
Chewing, blowing, popping gum, the teacher's expression changed from angry to furious. She may be a princess in Agrabah but she isn't one in Australia. She wasn't going to get any special attention.
She and her father moved here because there was a war in Agrabah so Jasmine and her father fled to escape death. The war has stopped now which gives her father an even bigger reason to make her marry a prince in Agrabah. She doesn't want to marry someone for their wealth, but for their love.
She sat next to me, continuing to chew gum. She copied down all of my notes that she missed out on while she was heading to class, slowly approaching. Jasmine is very intelligent but just doesn't show it in her attitude. Her clothes may symbolise her being a princess on Agrabah, but it is a different situation here in Australia. Here it would be counted as inappropriate.
She wore a turquoise top that revealed her belly button and only covered her chest area. It could be considered to be a crop top if the sleeves were on her shoulders instead of resting on her arms. She wore the same colour for her pants; they wore these baggy pants that were only tight around her waist and ankles. She started this trend for other girls to wear and now it's everywhere. She had a teal coloured gem on her headband and she wore large triangular gold earrings.
Her clothing choice sent different signals to the other boys and girls. The girls thought that it was all too revealing, while the boys thought it was perfect. All the boys stared at her when she walked into class. They tended to do that quite often. Jasmine was never afraid to say what was on her mind, which is why she got into trouble. A lot.
A boy came up to her and said, "Do you have a boyfriend, cause I could sure do with a pretty girl like you?" Jasmine smiled then slapped him. "You do not talk to me or any other girl like that, got it?" He nodded then ran away.
Jasmine and I are best friends. We left school and started walking to the tram stop. Her father always sends someone to pick her up near the tram stop. She didn't want that today; she doesn't want that on any day, so she caught a tram with me, getting off before my stop.
We waved good-bye as the distance between me and her was too far for us to see each other. I arrived home ten minutes later. I didn't have any homework so I watched YouTube. Nerdy Nummies- a YouTube channel where she cooks desserts and cakes. It may sound weird but I watch it anyway.
A few hours later Jasmine called me. I picked up the phone and hear much sobbing. "Why are you crying?" I asked.
"My father...he's...he's" she started. A muffled shout interrupted her. The line went silent terminating the conversation. Beep, Beep, Beep. That was it.
