I spun around ; trying to find the source of the snapping branches and crinkling leaves. Old twisted fingers restricted my view however, the unknown creature was visible to the skilled eyes I hold. With the sun slowly eating away at the bright sky, I decided it best to be quicker and catch this infuriatingly speedy creature. I darted my eyes around the open space and finally lept from my perch.
The creature let out a banshee like screech and sprinted further into the dense field of death. Following the sly beast, the world seemed to sink into an empty and dark void from which nothing could escape. It swallowed everything ; nothing was left.
I can't see. I can still hear the beast ahead of me , leaping from left to right. I could hear the giants around me shiver in fear; their gnarled fingers reaching for me, scratching and scraping at my flesh. I wanted to collapse but I knew how bad an idea that was.
