"Beca?" Beca turned to Emily with a content smile on her face, as she held Emily in her arms. They just finished 'making love' or that's what Emily likes to call it anyways. "What is it beautiful?" Emily blushed at Beca's compliment but continued speaking, "Do you ever think that you deserve more than this?" Emily asked her curiously as she caressed Beca's collar bone gently with her fingers. Beca's face scrunched up in confusion and shook her head, "what do you mean, more than this?" Emily shrugged and sighed, "I mean more than you tearing apart innocent people's throats every time you get hungry." Beca sighed along with her, "It's what I am Em, and there's nothing I can do about it." Emily huffed, "Just because you're a vampire Beca, doesn't mean you have to kill every human you come across. I believe you can control yourself enough to make peace with us humans and eventually live among us." Beca let out an indifferent groan to which Emily smiled a little, "I know you don't have much left of your humanity, but maybe you could learn to rebuild it? Heck, who knows you could be living a normal life by the end of the decade." Emily said shrugging as she buried her head further into Beca's neck. Beca's frown soon turned into a slight smile at the thought. She could imagine herself living a normal life...Hell she could imagine herself living a normal human life with Emily. "You really think I could?" Beca asked her nervously. Emily smiled into Beca's neck before she lifted her head up and turned Beca's face towards her with her free hand so they were looking into each other's eyes. "I know you can...maybe you just need a little push in the right direction." Beca smiled at her fully, "So you're saying spend more time with you and eventually I'll get my humanity back?" Beca told her playfully. Emily laughed but nodded nonetheless, "That wouldn't be the worst idea Becs, I mean I am the one who helped you not kill Jake that one time, when you turned your humanity off." Emily said with a playful smile and leaned in to kiss Beca on her lips slowly. Beca hummed into the short kiss happily but pulled back to respond, "That is true and I thank you for that. I don't know what I would have done to him if it wasn't for you..." Beca said solemnly, reaching up to caresses Emily's face gently. Emily smiled lovingly at Beca and leaned into her hand, "Well you don't have to worry about ever losing your humanity again, because I'll always be by your side...no matter what Beca." Emily said with earnest. Beca's eyes started to tear up while looking into Emily's trusting eyes but she decided to distract herself by kissing Emily softly on her plump lips. Beca never thought she would ever feel an ounce of her humanity again until Emily. It's like the gods provided her just so Beca could redeem herself. Emily smiled into the kiss but pulled back once she felt tears stream down Beca's cold face. Beca swallowed heavily as Emily pulled back so they could stare into each other's eyes for a moment. Emily smiled with those pure eyes and said those three words that would haunt Beca for an eternity. "I love you..."
Beca's eyes opened quickly as she sat up in her bed with fresh tears streaming down her face. Beca groaned as she wiped the tears off quickly and sighed heavily slumping into her bed. Beca loved having dreams about Emily but when they occur often, it just makes her bitter about how they got torn apart from each other. "Hey Becs! Time to wake up and smell the blood, we got an early shift this morning." Jesse shouted from behind her bedroom door. Beca smiled at his voice, thankful for the interruption before her mind drifted back to that dreadful night. "I'm up Jess! I'll be out in a few minutes." Beca shouted back as she got up and started to take off her clothes to take a much needed shower. As Beca got out of the shower and brushed her teeth getting ready for work, her mind thankfully went to wonder about what Chloe's doing. "Come on Beca! Don't you wanna see your spunky red headed cheerleader?" Beca chuckled as she got her backpack on her shoulder and headed out of her room to see Jesse standing by the front door with her blood coffee. "There's my brooding vampire bestie, now let's go before Kahale personally fires us both." Jesse said as teasingly as he handed Beca her coffee and they both headed out the door. They walked into the hospital and to the men's nurses locker rooms to get changed, Beca smelt something strange. It was another vampire but it smelt like they were in the locker room with them. Beca sighed heavily as she leaned to whisper to Jesse while they were getting into their uniforms. "Jess, do you smell that?" Beca asked him curiously. Jesse looked at her confused but then he lifted up his head to smell the air subtlety. "Woah...is that you?" Beca shook her head no while she finished putting her shirt on. "It's not me...another vampire's here." Jesse shook his head, "How is that possible? I mean you basically make sure no one on staff is a vampire except for yourself." Beca sighed heavily and nodded, "I know...maybe someone turned them after they were hired." Jesse quickly looked around the room at the other nurse's getting changed around them. "The real question is, who?" Beca and Jesse quickly left the locker room and walked towards their main part of the hospital. "So we know there's a newbie vamp in the hospital, we just need to find out who and make sure they're not up to something." Jesse told Beca as several of their colleagues passed by them, he eyed them carefully. Beca sighed and nodded, "Exactly, so I suggest we check everyone. Just don't make it too obvious, we don't want this baby vamp to get freaked out and kill everyone in this hospital." Beca told him quietly as they reached the main desk of the hospital. Jesse nodded understandingly, "You got it partner." He said winking at Beca with a southern accent. Beca glared at him a little making Jesse put his hands up in defense and grabbed his files for the day. "Hey Beca! Miss Rose said to give this to you." Beca looked up and saw a very excited Jenny looking at her with an obsessive look on her face. Beca smiled at her slightly, "Thanks Jen." Jenny blushed at the nickname Beca suddenly gave her as Beca read through the file Jenny handed her. Beca looked up at Jenny confused, "I'm getting switched to Miss Rose? Why?" Beca asked Jenny strangely. "Dr. Kahale hasn't been to work in a couple of days and he signed his resignation last night. You didn't know this?" Jenny asked her curiously. Beca shook her head no, "Why did he resign?" Jenny shrugged, "I wouldn't really know the answer Becs, but I could ask Miss Rose if you'd like?" Jenny asked her desperately. Beca licked her lips at Jenny and nodded appreciatively. "That would be great Jen, thanks." Jenny nodded as Beca took her files for the day as well and waved goodbye to Jenny with a smile. Jenny waved goodbye to Beca with much more enthusiasm. As Beca left she sighed dreamily and sat down in her chair.
