New Horizons (HP nextgen)

I inhale the ocean air with one breath as the cold, fresh water washes over my feet, wiggling my toes at the tingling sensation the water gives them. My face breaks into a smile as I open my eyes. The beach is beautiful this time of the morning, as the sun steadily, but surely rises out of the horizon. The colors of the great ball of fire light up the seemingly endless mass of water as I step in. Giggling to myself, I race to the water, wading until I felt the cool water touch my waist. Tucking my long, dirty blonde hair behind my ear, I begin to swim. Once far enough out, I wait for a wave. When one comes along I get on my board and ride into shore with ease. Standing up I grin "Dominique Nymphadora Weasley, you've got skill!" I laugh. "I love early mornings..."

"Me too."

I twirl around to meet the gaze of a smiling Louis Weasley. In answer to my raised eyebrows, he adds "Charlie didn't want to get up." I roll my eyes at my brother.

"Well, don't mind me, I'll just..stand here and admire the rainbow. You know-"

"Rainbow is the color of gay pride." I finish for him. 

Louis gives me a crooked grin. "I have taught you well, my sister."

"Oh please. I just picked it up. It's hard not to when the Longbottom family is staying here at Shell Cottage."

"What you be talking about? How much rainbows love unicorns?" Louis and I share a knowing look as we turn around to face Carter Longbottom.

"Yes Carter," Louis replies. "Is Charlie up?"

"No. Don't worry Lou, you'll see your boyfriend soon enough."

Louis looks momentarily crestfallen, but soon a grin breaks across his tanned face. "I will wake him up." And with that, runs up the beach toward our house, Shell Cottage.

"It's a lovely morning Dom, but you should get your butt in the house. There's someone to see you." Carter says, rubbing her eyes groggily.

"Really? Who?!" My eyes widen.

"Just come on." Carter grins and motions for me to follow her.

I stick my tongue out at my friend as we begin walking to the house.
