Sunsetz ~poetry~

G.O.N.E

She sat feeling quite empty as poison filled her lungs. Burning her throat, making her chest ache.

Lena always made her chest ache .... Her Icy blue eyes, lips like silk. Dani loved her. More than she should've, Lena showed her that.

"I love you."
"Love you too"

Looking back now those words never meant anything to Lena. She said them to soon with to much ease. And her love died just as quick as it was born. Dani was shattered." I'm just confused." Lena would say. " I want to try out boys."  

An experiment thats all Dani was to Lena. Dani deserved better.
Lena was her everything they were going to run away, far far away. Dani just needed someone to run with she hoped Lena would have been that person.

Now instead of running away to Jersey she was stuck here in this run down town. Hoping to God she'd get out someday.

Lena left her to spiral dropping her like she was dirty. Leaving her with broken dreams, a scarred body and hate for the smell of strawberry shampoo.

Dani picked up her bad habits, doing anything to get Lena out of her brain. No matter how hard she tried to forget Lena, she always appered in her dreams. Sometimes it would be metions of her, her art or it would actually be Lena.

Dani stopped smiling at the things that always made her think of Lena. All they did was make her want to cry.

Dani blamed herself, at night when she had finally laid in bed her thoughts of Lena always got the best of her.
Lena would love me if I was beautiful. She would love me if I was skinny.
She'd love me if I were G.O.N.E.
