The morning after was quite lazy for both of them. Tyler only worked Tuesday through Friday so they had time to spare on that relatively warm Saturday morning. Tyler's back rested against the headboard as he grazed through the paperwork. His eyes narrowing when he'd come upon headshots of Dylan O'Brien. He didn't know what to think of him at this point, but whatever the conclusion may be, it wouldn't be good.
Josh's head is resting on his lap, sleeping soundly. The brunette could feel his gentle breaths against the bare skin of his stomach which was oddly satisfying. He always wanted Joshua close to him, and he hated going long without him. His fingers thread through the unruly curly brown locks, deciding his work could wait to see as he had more important matters to attend to.
The other man stirred in his sleep. Dejá vu charged his memory at the feeling of Tyler's soft fingers threading through his hair. He bit his lip to stifle a small smile as his brown eyes trailed up his body to his beautifully serene profile. He couldn't believe that he belonged to Josh. This powerful, cosmic being coincidentally falling in his hands. And out of everyone, Tyler wanted him.
"You're not an abomination, Ty."
The steady rhythm of his fingers slow to a halt suddenly. Tyler's looking at Josh as the man finally readjusted himself, his knees on either side of Tyler's hips, a thin sheet covering over the both of their bare bodies.
Tyler doesn't know what to say. His mouth hesitating a reply. Once again, speechless by the only man that was capable of taking his breath away.
Finally, he finds his words with a gentle unsure shake of his head. "But I am, we are-" he bites his lip, fingertips sinking into the soft flesh of Josh's pale hips.
"No, you're not." Joshua rejects immediately. "You're caring and loving," Josh has to grasp his face in both of his hands to keep their eyes in contact. Tyler needed to hear this. "You want to see people happy, not miserable. You're nothing like your father - or your brother."
His hazel eyes glance up to meet Josh's as his eyes fill with long-suppressed tears. The words he neglected all his life were now spoken in full unleashed emotion and Tyler couldn't be anymore thankful. "I love you, Joshua." He whispered against his lips because no matter how many times he says it, it'll never be enough. And Joshua realized that he was the only man to ever see this gentle, sensitive side of him in such a raw form.
The curly haired man presented that gorgeous smile that Tyler admittedly adored. Josh smoothed his thumb over the light stubble beginning to form on his jaw, up to his cheeks. His other thumb brushing over his full bottom lip. He leaned in, their lips tenderly greeting each other. It was soft, Tyler's lips were hesitant as if he where delicate china and the grip on Joshua's hips where the only thing keeping him from having his way.
Joshua knows this from the gentle breaths from his lover and the neediness in his touches. Josh gasped as he felt Tyler's hands grasp his ass roughly, the brunettes plump lips sucking a bruise on his collarbone as Josh's head lolled back, eyes closing in ecstasy. He licked over his lip before biting it. Brows creasing as Tyler's tongue worked over his porcelain skin. Knowing the dark color of his prominent hickey's would show beautiful after Tyler was done. Tyler ground up against Josh, the sound eliciting from the man downright sinful. Their lips met once again, tongue now added in the mix. A pleasant hum echoed from the back of Tyler's throat as Josh's teeth gently pulled at his bottom lip.
"We should stop," Josh warns as he leans his head against Tyler's. His eyes closing, hands steadying himself on the other's shoulders as he evened his breathing. Tyler nodded with agreement, despite himself. They didn't need to get ahead of themselves just yet, there's still a lot of ground to cover from the time they've been apart.
"Yesterday, you mentioned something about Dylan."
"Right," Tyler recalled, one hand firm on Josh's torso to balance himself as he picked up the discarded papers. "So, your friend Dylan is a murderer. Borderline terrorist, in fact." Josh's eyes widened, grabbing the papers from Tyler's hands.
"That's not right." Josh shook his head. "Dylan's a good guy."
"How much do you know about him?" Tyler tested, eyebrows drawn with curiosity since Josh has known him for the longest out of everyone.
Joshua furrowed his brows in thought. Come to think of it, he didn't know much. But it was only logical seeing as you never make friends in a place that generates enemies. "Well, he was in the old building with me before we both were transferred. Except he wasn't put in a cage, he was in the experimental room."
Tyler searched the papers in thought. "The dates on the paper were around the times and when we were in DEMA."
When Josh gasped, Tyler glanced up at him. "He was in the experimental room!" He repeats with obvious realization, yet Tyler was still drawing blanks.
"Yeah, so?"
"So maybe it was him that committed genocide. But he didn't do it willingly."
Tyler understood. "You're saying that Kavanaugh was trying to make his own personal weapon out of Dylan?"
"Exactly." Josh's eyes brightened. Tyler knew that look all too well. "We need more information." His voice laced in determination as he unraveled himself from the covers and leaped out of the bed. "Dylan's innocent. He can't go to prison for something he didn't do." Tyler threw over his clothes before his boyfriend forgot to get dressed again in the midst of his tangent.
"But on some end, he did do it."
Tyler is biased. "I don't think the public will understand a portrayed terrorist to be some sort of supernatural- Ukrainian lab rat.""Maybe. But if we expose Kavanaugh and Lodge, and show them behind the experiments then that can give Dylan a really good fighting chance."
"Baby, wait." Tyler held his hand up defensively as he shrugged his own shirt over his head. "That's a great idea and all, but if you expose them, you're also exposing everyone else."
Josh's face dropped with realization.Josh pursed his lips in thought before he smiled mischievously.
"I have an idea."
