"What?! No fucking way."
"Brendon." Josh sighed desperately. "We need some way to get proof."
"Did you even try to talk to Dylan?" Brendon backfired as he crossed his arms, the hat on his head tilting questionably.
"He's off radar." Tyler made himself known as he munched on Jenna's homemade vegan sandwich. "The police can't find him, and even I couldn't even get a trace of him."
He shrugged nonchalantly. It was incredibly odd for Tyler not being able to trace someone. Being the creature that he was, he should be able to pinpoint every single soul on earth. Everyone except Dylan. His eyes narrowed at the thought. Maybe it was something bigger than what Josh was capable of. Or it was a sign that his peace on earth wouldn't last long, and his life in chaos would come back in full force. But that couldn't possibly happen, right?Josh's hands roamed his face tiredly as he slumped further into the sofa. Tyler sat beside him, draping his arm casually over the other's shoulders. He tried to suppress the thought of an apocalypse and instead, drowned himself in the serenity that was Josh Dun.
Grace stirred her tea, Tyler noticed her shaky hands as she took her morning medication. Jenna was laying on Evan's lap with her feet perched on the other couch.
"Well... maybe I can try?"
The new voice caused all eyes in the room to land on - Tom. Tyler and Josh furrowed their brows with interest.
"If you have a picture, or something that belonged to him I can find him and Tyler can speak with him through the connection." He offered with a kind smile. Everyone collectively agreed, liking the idea.
"You can do that?" Josh asked curiously as Tyler finished the last bite of his sandwich.
"Yeah, cool right?"
"Totally sick." Josh praised as he nudged Tyler up off the couch.
Jenna glanced up at Evan as Grace left the room to lie down and rest. She's been getting progressively sick, but everyone including herself brushed it off as a common cold. However, Jenna knew better. Her attention was taken away when Tom was handed the picture of Dylan's mugshot and sat in the middle of the floor. Tyler sat behind him, his hands darkening to a coal black as he waited for Tom to establish the connection.
Tom's eyes closed. His mind rushed forward as a strong surge immediately pulled him in the presumed direction of Dylan.
The familiar hills of the Trench flashing in his eyes and the horrified face of the man in question. He was in shackles. Beaten and bruised, in a place unlike anything he's ever seen.Suddenly, he began to feel lightheaded. The strong surge dulling as something else began to take the reins of his mind and plague it.
The lights flickered throughout the house.
The teenagers entered the room, questioning the shortage wondering if Zion did something again, but was soon muffled by Tyler's frantic words.
"Tom let go." He said almost immediately.
