"Happy Birthday Lady Elizabeth." Sebastian said with a fake smile as he served her tea in a cream cup with pink flowers painted on the side.

"Why thank you Sebastian. It's very kind of you" She smiled back and picked up her cup, staring down at it. Sebastian glanced over at Ciel who had his normal unhappy face, waiting for his tea to be served. Sebastian walked over to him and started to tip the tea pot slowly. "My Lord, It's your fiance's birthday. Shouldn't you wish her a happy birthday?"

Ciel picked up his cup and sighed. His eyes glanced at Lizzie. She was looking at him, with a small kind smile creeping up on her porcelain face. "Happy Birthday Lizzie." She grinned happily as Ciel took a sip of his hot tea. Lizzie giggled to herself and started to pick at he blueberry scone that was also served with the tea.

"Sebastian."

"Yes My Lord?"

"Is this orange cinnamon?"

"Yes My Lord"

Lizzie interrupted, "What impeccable taste you have Ciel. As always of course. I didn't realize that there was cinnamon." she giggled as Sebastian tried to join in. Ciel groaned.

Elizabeth sneezed as she was about to take another sip of her tea. Ciel's face grew colder. "Did you get a cold?"

"Yes, are you alright Lady Elizabeth? It would be a shame to get sick on your birthday." Sebastian added.

Ciel glanced at him suspiciously as Lizzie shook her head. "Of course not! I dare not to think of it! I would miss my own ball?"

"Another one?" Ciel rolled his eyes.

"Obviously. It's my birthday."

"Very well Lady Elizabeth. I shall inform the staff to get ready. I suppose we are having your birthday ball inside? The snow outside is getting thicker every passing moment."

"Well of course. Who would be stupid enough to host a ball in the snow?" Ciel grunted.

Lizzie looked down at her tea slightly looking guilty. After a few moments she nodded and Sebastian left the room.

-------------------

"EVERYTHING IS PINK" Ciel yelled as he stepped out of his study and into the ball room.

Lizzie giggled and spun around. "I know! Isn't it wonderful?! Sebastian is such a great butler!" She laughed again and continued to spin around.

"I'm simply one hell of a butler." Sebastian added with a smirk. Ciel ignored his comment, seeing how he said the same thing quite often. "Lizzie, are you sure you want to host it here?"

"Oh silly Ciel! It's not like I can leave! Its a blizzard outside. My carriage wheels are frozen!"

"You wouldn't want your fiance to catch a cold would you? She could become dreadfully ill." Sebastian said louder than he should have. Before Ciel could scorn him for keeping on saying fiance over and over, Lizzie sneezed again. The two watched as her sneeze actually made her jump.

"Your right Sebastian. We need to get her to the fireplace before her sneezing gets worse." He walked down the steps and took a hold of her shoulder, which was shaking and lead her upstairs to his study. Sebastian started a fire and got them both hot chocolate. Neither of them touched theirs.

"This isn't good Elizabeth."

"Yes, I know. I-I-I," She sneezed and tears came to her eyes.

Ciel looked back at the fire, then the grandfather clock. It was too late for a ball. They would have to do it some other time. Or not at all would suit him better.

"I'm sorry Lizzie. It's getting late. We can't hold a ball tonight." Ciel looked over at her. But, she was asleep. Ciel sighed and went to door. Then yelled for Sebastian.

"Yes My Lord?" He asked.

"She fell asleep. Please carry her to her room."

Sebastian nodded and entered Ciel's study and gently picked up the fragile girl. Sebastian and Ciel walked to her room. Ciel waited outside as Sebastian dressed her appropriate for bed.

"My Lord." Sebastian said and left the room to go to Ciel's room.

Ciel took a peak in at her. He silently walked over to her bed and kissed her forehead. "Happy Birthday Lizzie." he whispered and started for the door again.

"C-Ciel?" She murmured.

He stopped.

"It's my birthday." She smiled gently, still staring at the back of his head.

"Yes, I know. I already wished you a happy birthday Lizzie."

"Thank you...for that..but could you do me one last thing?"

Ciel turned around to Lizzie's serious face. He was shocked. He didn't see that face often. She could be sad, and angry and happy most the time. But he very rarely saw her serious.

"Could you smile for me?"

The room was silent. Ciel didn't know what to do. He blinked. Her serious face did not change as he had hoped. He gulped and turned around. Closing the door behind him.
