Catching Up

Ochaco finally gets to meet up with Mina after missing her for a week while Mina was on vacation.
A lot of gossip and teasing happens.

"So I heard there's a new girl in town!" Mina exclaimed before she sipped on her frappuccino again.

"Oh ya." Ochaco lazily said. She looked around the small but cosy café and examined the many faces. Some she recognised some she didn't see too often.

"Well I bet you I can show her around first! Maybe I'll get a chance at love, who knows!" Mina said in her usual loud voice.

Ochaco let out a little laugh.

"What."

Ochaco looked up from her drink and smiled mischievously.

"I don't think Aoyama would be happy to hear that you're giving up on him." Ochaco said slyly.

Mina's tan face turned pink.

"That sparkly boy is obviously gay! And too invested in himself for love!"

Ochaco just hummed in response. Her smile still plastered on her face.

"Well I guess you're too late, because I already met the new girl and planned to show her around!" Ochaco said happily.

Mina's flustered face transformed to one of anguish. She dramatically let her head fall onto the small table they were sitting at.

"How!? Ugh... Well you can take the chance and form an epic romance story in my place then," Ochaco rolled her eyes playfully. "You haven't dated anyone since Midoriya broke up with you!" Mina finished.

Ochaco softly smacked Mina's arm and shushed her.

"I thought we agreed to never talk about that!" Ochaco whispered angrily.

"What? Everyone already knows anyway." Mina retorted.

Ochaco smacked Mina's arm again.

"Ow! OK ok I'll stop!"

After a few silent minutes of sipping on drinks and scrolling through their phones Mina spoke up again.

"Don't ya think it's a weird coincidence that I should be expecting a new roommate soon and that a new person just arrived here. Do ya think the newcomer is my roommate?"

Ochaco put her phone back in her pocket.

"Uh.. What's your address again?" Ochaco asked.

Mina looked at her with a dramatic betrayed expression.

"How could you not know my address?!" Mina exclaimed.

Ochaco raised her hands in a surrendering position.

"Hey, I barely went to your apartment!" Ochaco said in her defence.

Mina crossed her arms and tutted. She then finally told Ochaco her address.

Ochaco jumped up out of her seat and suddenly exclaimed. "That's where Asui was moving!"

Ochaco quickly sat down and apologised to everyone for causing a ruckus.

"Asui who?" Mina asked.

Ochaco quickly explained to Mina that Asui was the new girl.

"Oh, then if she's my new roommate tell me all about her!" Mina excitedly shouted.

Ochaco then immediately went into a detailed description of her.

"So, she has super long green hair! It's like a deep shade of green! And she's short but still manages to look lithe. She also has huge eyes that are so pretty--and her mouth is so small but cute and-" Ochaco was gushing when she got cut off by someone.

"Sounds like Ochaco has a crush~" said a deep, familiar voice in a sing-songy way.

"Kirishima go back to work!" Mina shouted.

Ochaco face was as pink as Mina's hair.

"But I'm on lunch break! I want to gossip too!" Kirishima whined.

Mina clapped her hands sassily. "Excuse me! This is my catch up time with Uraraka-chan! You had all week to gossip with her while I was gone on vacation!"

Kirishima was laughing while trying to calm Mina down.

All through this Ochaco was thinking. Did she have a crush on Asui. No. She couldn't possibly. She just met Asui. Ughh this is a mess.

Then Ochaco's thoughts got interrupted by Kirishima.

"So who is this girl that Uraraka-chan is smitten with?"

"I don't have a crush on her! I swear!" Ochaco shouted out.

"Yeah right..." Kirishima said slowly as he squinted his eyes at Ochaco.

"Hey, you seem to be wearing your hair down an awful lot!" Mina interjected and saving Ochaco in the process.

"Yeah!" Ochaco said quickly so that Kirishima could forget about the previous subject.

"Hehe.. Yeah, Bakugo really likes it this way so I wondered why not." Kirishima said while rubbing his arm. His face was super red.

The two girls started 'OoOoo-ing' causing Kirishima to get even more flustered.

"Oh! Urara you live next to Bakugo right? Can you hear them when Kirishima is over at his place?!" Mina said curiously.

Ochaco nodded her head up and down with crossed arms. "Yup, they're so loud."

Kirishima's face looked like he's seen a ghost. He opened his mouth many times.

"W-we haven't done anything yet!" Kirishima exclaimed rapidly.

Mina and Ochaco were having too much fun with this.

Mina leaned over the table to face Kirishima. She looked at me and back to him.

"Yet? Didja hear that Urara? Kirishima is planning to do it with Bakugo!" Mina said, using her nickname for Ochaco again.

Ochaco nodded rapidly with a big smile on her face.

"Yo Kiri, please warn me beforehand so I can at least sleep at Mina's place. You can be as loud as you want then!" Ochaco added.

The two girls couldn't stop laughing at Kirishima's horrified expression.

Once Kirishima's shift started again Mina asked Ochaco something.

"You know.. Now that I think of it, the new girl sounds like she looks weirdly similar to that famous Instagramer. Do ya think she's a big fan of her! Maybe she was such a big fan of Froppy that she dyed her hair green! Oh my god I can't wait to meet her then! We could both fangirl over Froppy it will be great!" Mina exclaimed. She kept on rambling while Ochaco pretended to look fed up with Mina, but she couldn't hide her smile.
