Beep! Beep! Beep!

I groaned and rolled over as my alarm went off signaling it was yet another day at South Central High School. It took me a second, but I pushed myself out of bed and headed toward my closet.

"What to wear?" I said to myself. After about five minutes of skimming through my over-sized closet I pulled down my black and white Slick Living shirt, a pair of black leggings, and my all white high-top Air Force Ones. I laid everything out on my dresser and went on to taking a shower, I pulled my curls up so they wouldn't get wet. After showering for fifteen minutes, I dried off and got dressed. I didn't feel like straightening my hair this morning, so I let my curls fall. I grabbed my backpack from beside my bed and galloped down the stairs, while I was doing that I could hear one of my big brothers, Chris on the phone sweet talking one of his h*es, while cooking breakfast.

"Good morning, baby girl." He spoke and kissed my forehead as I sat down at the table. He placed a plate of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs in front of me.

"Morning." I responded smiling. I guess you could say I'm a "brother's girl". My mom died when I was seven and our dad isn't allowed anywhere near us from what my grandmother told me. Why? I don't know, but I've never met him before. So Chris and my other big brother Shad have raised me all my life basically.

"Where's Shad?" I asked Chris, as he hung up his phone.

"Upstairs, I'm surprised you didn't hear him and Ciara last night." Chris chuckled with his response. I shook my head. Ciara is Shad's girlfriend, she just moved in with us about a month ago. I like her and all, but like I said I'm a "brother's girl", I don't like her getting the amount of attention that she does. But everybody deserves love sometimes and change is inevitable, I can't stop it. As long as she keeps my brother happy, I should be right?

While I was eating my food, I heard a car horn outside. That must be either Nisha or Brittany. Nisha and Brittany are my best friends, I love those girls. I got up from the table and put my now empty plate in the sink and grabbed an orange juice from the fridge.

"Time for me to go, bro.", I kissed Chris' cheek and grabbed my backpack. As I was headed toward the door, Shad was coming down the stairs, so Ciara must be sleeping still.

"Bye, Sis." He kissed my forehead, just as Chris does and I left out the door.

"Hurry up, girl! We're gonna be late!" Brittany yelled from her car.

"Late for what? You're early." I responded as I got in the back seat of the car, Nisha was in the passenger's.

"Because that boy from East High transferred to South Central today, and you know how these h*es are." Brittany responded.

"Wait... So we're rushing to school... For Khleo?" I looked at her as if she were retarded.

"Let's just say. You need a prom date and he absolutely loves cheerleaders." Nisha flashed an evil grin at me. I know they did not set me up. Khleo is the star basketball player in Los Angeles and he's transferred from East to South Central to play for us this year, and I am the Head Cheerleader there. Rumor has it, Khleo only wants to take a cheerleader to prom this year. Not that I keep up with him or anything... But you hear everything at South Central High School. After ten minutes of driving, we finally pulled up at South Central. I immediately spotted the boys, and by "the boys" I mean the boys out of the crew; Julian, Langston, DayDay, Justin, and Quincy. Britt, Nisha, and I don't really like to hang around a lot of girls. Only girl we hang with is Chelsea, she's DayDay's girlfriend and she's pretty cool. Brittany finally found a parking spot, we hopped out and walked over to the boys.
