The night rose, covering the sky like a blanket of darkness as the stars began to shine around the moon like an army protecting their queen. The three began to return to the dining hall for their last meal of the day.
Fira shook her head as she walked. Raven looked over at her, "what is it, Fira?"
"It's - Nothing."
He stopped and grabbed her shoulder with his large hand, "c'mon. You can tell me anything..."
Fira stared as Sakaza continued on down the hall, "I just... I don't get it. You both received talented and uncommon dragons, while I received a common fire dragon."
"Is that all that this is?" Raven asked.
She looked up at him, "I told you it was nothing." She replied with little energy in her voice or breath as she let her head sink.
"Fira, you will still do amazing things, with or without a special dragon. You're here..."
Tears began to swell her eyes, "I know... it isn't just that. It's my father... He saw so much in me. I didn't know - and now, I don't know how to live up to what he did." She finished as a tear escaped her eye and traced her cheek.
"You won't live up to what he did. You'll do more." He smiled down at her. "Now, come on. We have dinner waiting." He gently wiped the tear from her face and grabbed her hand to lead her.
They walked on down the hall and found the dining hall where they found Sakaza already eating off of her piled up plate full of pork and baked rolls.
Sakaza looked over at them and rolled her eyes at the sight of them holding hands, "I knew it." She grumbled to herself with a mouth full of pork. Just then, Darian walked over to her table.
"Is this seat taken?" He pointed to the chair across from her.
"Nope."
He smiled and sat down, "so, did you decide on tonight yet or...?"
"Yea, I think I might go up for a few minutes."
"I'm glad. I'm looking forward to it." He smirked.
"My cabin is a bit bigger than usual, just because I'm upper class, so it won't be too crowded."
Sakaza began to chuckle. "What?" He asked.
"Just... find it funny that you mention your upper-class cabin so suggestively."
"Not suggestively. It's quite nice though..."
"Okay, whatever you say." She looked at him with her bright blue eyes.
In reply to her notion, he smiled as his golden eyes seemed to nearly glow like pools of honey. "Well, I suppose I'll see you soon... would you like to walk up with me?"
"Sure... Guess it wouldn't hurt. I don't feel like getting lost in this place. I do want to change before we do though."
He chuckled and nodded, "Alright, I'll make sure you get there and back safely."
Sakaza smiled as he returned to his table.
Fira and Raven made their way over and sat down.
"What was that all about? You aren't going, are you...?" Fira asked.
"Well... Just for a little bit." Sakaza answered.
"You're actually insane," Raven said as he shook his head and bit into his piece of bread.
"How is this insane?"
"You're about to go to a stranger's cabin... at night... alone," Raven replied.
