It was a Sunday morning and the sun was sparkling, Lorielle was just waking up from a wonderful dream she had, she was dreaming about her 11th birthday that she hoped her parents would give her when she woke up. She was so excited that she raced down the stairs without even brushing her teeth. As soon as she stepped into the dining, "SUPRISE!!!!!" All of Lorielle's Family was there including Mia her best friend, they were all holding presents in their hands for her. She was bursting with happiness. "HAPPY 11 BIRTHDAY LORIELLE!!!" Lorielle raced to open her presents and gifts. The first one she opened was from her best friend Mia, Mia was also 11 but her birthday was in May not December. So they were just a few months apart. Lorielle knew Mia since kindergarten and they have been best friends since then. When Lorielle saw what was inside she screamed so loud that the neighbours came over to see what in the hay world was going on. Mia's present to Lori was a beautiful friendship bracelet that was specially made just for her, on it was her name in her favourite colour purple. Mia had the exact same but in a different colour and it had her name on it. There was also a card, it said the most heart felted quote she ever read, 'no matter where what or how, I'll always be here for you". After she read the quote, Lori went over to Mia and said "I'll always be here for you to" and they both hugged each other. As Lorielle opened the rest of the gifts, her mum Susanne and Dylan her Dad were whispering in a corner where no one could hear them, "when do you think we should tell her?" Asked Dylan,
"Not now, she is having such a great time, we shouldn't ruin this for her, after all this is going to be her last birthday with us we should make it count."replied Susanne. As soon as Susanne finished, Lorielle turned around and smiled. They smiled back and Lorielle continued opening her presents. She wondered why her parents were talking so quietly in that corner but she didn't say anything because it was probably nothing. Little did she know it was more than nothing because nothing was going to be the same after this.
