Fifteen

-y/n POV-

After we went to the beach everyone went to the casino for some fun, I was minding my own business sitting down because I was tired and not really into the whole gambling scheme when all of a sudden I got turned into a card!! I could hear Lucy screaming and some people talking about taking Erza. Then she started screaming about how someone poked her, before I could ask for her help she ran away! The next thing I know I'm sitting in some human card deck and there are wizards trying to get everyone out. There were at least 100 of us poor folks stuck in cards and no one could get us out.
About a day or two later, I don't really know what time it was because I WAS STUCK IN A CARD and couldnt use magic, anyway, some guy named Sho came back with Erza and the others and got us all out. Lucy explained everything to me in detail then I met everyone. I feel awful that I couldn't help but I'm so glad that everyone is safe. I feel bad for Erza as well, that would have been heart breaking.

I decided that I should go on another job to get my mind off it and because I was getting low on money.

"Hey guys" I great Team Natsu positively.
They all smile and wave at me happily.
"Hey y/n!" Most of them said.
"I'm going to go on a job, if anyone wants to come they're welcome to" I say happily and sit down at the usual table.
"I wanna come!" Natsu says happily.
"You're still injured from last week Natsu there is no way you're going anywhere" I say in a motherly way.

He pouts and goes to argue but sighs and stays silent knowing I'm right. He's so cute when he's mad.

"I'll go" gray says and stands up.
"Got nothing better to do" he says and ruffles my hair with his left hand, his right hand shoved in his pocket.
"Thank you, do you want to pick the job?" I ask as we walk to the board. I quickly pat my hair back down and sigh at the frazzled mess on top of my head curtesy of gray.
"Oh there is no way you're going with this ice block instead of me!" Natsu bellows angrily smashing his hands on the table and standing up.
The two of us ignore him as we walk toward the board.
"Nah anything will do as long as you're happy" gray says to me in a chill tone.
I nod happily and pick up a flier.
"Take down a wild tree?" I say confusedly.
"For 150,000 jewel I won't complain." He says smirking.
"Sure" I giggle.
"Don't ignore me!" Natsu shouts.

We say our goodbye's to everyone, well I say goodbye and gray fights Natsu, then we leave to go get whatever we need for this interesting job.
Gray and I walk together from the guild to his house so he can get his things first as he lives closer.

"I don't think I have ever been to your house before" I say thinking hard.
"Come to think of it I don't think anyone has" he replies.
"I'm the first!" I say happily smiling like a child.
"You sure are" he ruffles my hair once again and smirks.
"You're going to give me dreadlocks if you keep that up" I say pouting and pat my hair down once again.
He chuckles to himself as we walk now in a comfortable silence.

After collecting our things the two of us made our way to the forest outside of Porlyusica's house, careful not to disturb her, we walk quickly and silently past.
"Where do you think it will be?" He asks whispering.
"I have no idea but I'm sure it won't be hard to miss" I whisper back.

Once we are a safe distance away from Porlyusica's we start to talk normally again.

"Come on surely it shouldn't be this hard to find a rogue tree" gray states slightly annoyed.
"It can't be f-ahh!" I cut myself off by screaming as I get lifted off the ground by something strong.
"Found it" gray says and quickly slices the branches that are holding onto me, then catches me before I hit the ground.

"T-thank you" I say unsurely while in his arms.
"No problem, but look out" he says, the tree swings it's branches at the two of us again but we dodge it just in time.

The two of us cut and hack into the giant tree, swing after swing we finally take it down after countless attacks.

"about time" gray groans out.
"I didn't expect it to be that difficult" I say smiling, slightly out of breath.
"No kidding" he replies. The two of us stand up and stretch, I turn around as gray tries to crack his sore back.

"A-ah gr-Gray?" I say nervously looking at the sight in front of me.
"Hmm?" He asks humming and turns around. There are 18 giant tree's all swinging their branches around angrily toward us in sync.

"Ah crap" He says and creates another sword.

We both reluctantly go and attack the tree's, picking off one by one.

"Elemental dragon fire roar!" I scream and burn 4 down at a time.
"WHY DIDNT YOU DO THAT EARLIER!" Gray protests.
"I'm sorry I forgot about it" I apologise and bow at him. He sighs while sweat dropping and keeps fighting.

The two of us throw multiple attacks at the small forest again.
"Elemental dragon earth shooter!" I yell and fire rocks at the trees like a machine gun's bullets.
"Ice make cannon!" Gray screams, finally taking down the last of the group.

"If any more jump out I'm leaving" he whines and collapses on the grass below, sighing as he finally gets to sit down.
I giggle in response and sit next him.
"Trust you to get a dodgy job" he jokes.
I joking punch him in the arm as a response, too tired to talk.
The two of us chuckle before he sits up and stretches again.

The two of us slowly make our way to get our reward money, talking about how much we have changed as kids.

We go get our reward money and start head back to the guild, too tired to think of anything else to do.

"I still remember when you tripped at the top of mount Hakobe and rolled the whole way to the bottom" I giggled up at the tall ice mage.
"And you had to come and pull me out and carry me home" he laughed back at me.

"I'm just glad I don't have to do it again" I joke. The two of us walk happily to the guild.
"What are you trying to say y/n!?" He jokes
"Fatty" I joke and poke at his shirtless chest.
