Sorry this took so long. Senior year is stressful

Daya POV

It was Monday morning and I was getting ready for school. Me and my bae was chilling the whole weekend. Saturday he picked me up from work and we was chilling. Saturday he took me to a movie and dinner.

I didn't think that I was gonna be able to hop in a relationship so soon after moving here. Let alone I was gonna be kicking with Tes but he was really showing me a different side of him. That's my dude.

"Daya! Ya here!" I heard my grandma yell from upstairs.

I didn't tell Yanna, Lacey, or Doria that me and Tes was together now even though we been texting each other a lot over the weekend in the group message. They my girls and I know they gonna cut up when we tell em.

I walked upstairs and Yanna was sitting at the table eating an apple.

"Looka lil miss ride or die," she said as I pulled a honey bun out the cabinet. I smiled knowing she was talking about me jumping in the car with Tes on Friday night.

"You funny," I said.

"And you stupid," she said. "as the fuck," she told me under her breath so our grandma couldn't hear.

"Whatchu mean Yanna?!" I asked her a lil confused.

"Now you know Tes be going hard behind his family. You followed this nigga on a murder trip. Let him woulda done something and your ass woulda been in the pin right with him."

"Well he didn't do nothing," I said. "I was able to talk some sense in him." My grandma walked in the kitchen and opened the fridge.

"Well at least somebody can," she said as my phone vibrated on the table. I grabbed it and opened it up.

Tes: goodmorning bae. see you at school

I instantly smiled. He sent me sweet lil goodnight, goodmorning texts and random ones throughout the day. The sweetest real nigga ever. I texted him back.

Daya: see you later tessy bear.

"Grandma get out the macaroni," Yanna said.

"Girl its too early to be eating all that starch," she told her.

"Nah. This girl cheesin harder than motha-," yanna said stopping before saying it.

"You better stop before I make your ass go outside and pick out a switch." My grandma told her with the quickness.

"Yanna why you play so much?!" I asked.

"No the real question is who making you smile like that?" She asked.

I didnt answer her and got up to throw away my paper wrapper. When I was in the refrigerator to get a juice, I heard my phone vibrate again. As soon as I turned around to grab it off the table, Yanna scooped it up.

She looked at the screen and saw who it was from.

"DAYA!!" she yelled.

"What Yanna? Gimme my phone," I said.

"Bruh you really went with this move," she said. I didn't answer her. "This you?"

"If that's what you wanna call it," i blushed. We got up and headed out the door and to her car.

"So y'all together or nahh?" She asked me.

"Yes Yanna damn!!" I finally admitted. I checked my phone and saw that Tes sent me another text message.

Tes: iight.

Yanna pulled off the curb and started on our way.

"So how the hell this happened?" She asked.
