Locked In

In a far away village lived a girl. Her name was Galontisuy.( gal-ah-tis-ay) She lived with her small family in their small cabin. " Good morning, mom" groaned Galontisuy. Galontisuy sat with her younger sister, aunt, mom, and dad at the table so they could eat breakfast.

"So mom there's this guy at school," said Galontisuy

" Galontisuy, yesterday was your first day of school, how do you have a crush already?" Asked Galontisuy's sister.

"Will you two stop bickering, I can't even tell what you're saying," Snapped Galontisuy's aunt.

Galontisuy groaned as her and her sister grabbed their bags and headed for school. "so, who is he, what's his name?" Her sister asked.

"Durk" Galontisuy said as she looked at her younger sister "He's a senior" Galontisuy was a junior in high school. It was her first day of school yesterday and she had no friends, her family of course tried hard to make her and her sister perfect.

"Maybe you should talk to him," said Galontisuy's sister looking up at Galontisuy.

"What do you know," spat Galontisuy at her younger sister.

"I have a boyfriend, you don't," said Galontisuy's sister with a smirk.

"What!" Screamed Galontisuy as she laughed.

They had just arrived at school. Galontisuy's sister went to her other freshman friends, as Galontisuy sat at a table alone.

Somebody she recognized sat down nest to her, it was her crush and, she thought, soon to be husband. "hello," he said with a smile as he stuck his hand out. "my name is Durk"

"H-hello," she said back softly.

" So ever since yesterday you seem really nice, I want to be your friend," said Durk

" Um okay, we can be friends," replied Galontisuy.

After months of them being best friends, Galontisuy said something that would change her life forever, " Durk... ever since my first day I... I've had feelings for you..." said Galontisuy nervously.

" Galontisuy...me too" replied Durk.

Galontisuy's magenta eyes stared into Durk's turquoise eyes. They sat staring into each other's eyes. Durk smiled at her, Durk got a text.

Mom: Durk honey where are you?! You've been gone for three hours. Come home immediately, your brother said you have been talking to your girlfriend

Durk: mom I don't have a girlfriend. I have been hanging out with my friend I do not want to come home.

Mom: You're grounded. Come home.

Durk: No!

He looked up at Galontisuy then back down at his phone, "my mom is so freaking annoying," said Durk as he looked up at Galontisuy.

"you need to get home," she said "now,"

Durk grabbed her and and got up, he kissed her hand and ran to the doors of the school. "um Galontisuy," said Durk after a huge gasp.

"Yea?" asked Galontisuy

"The door... its locked," said Durk

Galontisuy ran to the door, she tried to open it. She pushed and pulled it, and still nothing.

"oh crap" Galontisuy silently said

" what time is it?" asked Durk.

Galontisuy looked at her phone. " 3:30 a.m." she said

they both ran back to a table wondering what to do. " I know, we can go find a storage closet and sleep," said Durk.

" The janitors would see us in the morning" said Galontisuy.

They both stared at each other. " Oh no" they both said at the same time.
