Meanwhile, everyone was asleep except for Yugi, Bakura, and Jill. Joey and Tristan were sleeping outside of the tent, and Tea was asleep inside of the tent with a sleeping bag on her. Yugi was just outside of the tent, thinking about his grandfather, and Bakura was just inside of the tent with Jill, who was shivering. All he did was hold her in his arms as he was trying to keep her warm for awhile. She just hated camping at night since it was so cold.
"Jill, just try to get some sleep. Ok?" Bakura whispered to her, reassuringly.
"I can't, Bakura. Not when it's so damn cold." She shook her head, still shivering.
"I know, but no matter how cold it really is, just try to sleep because I know you're tired." He told her gently, and with that, Jill began to trust in Bakura's words of reassurance, and she slowly closed her eyes to sleep. Even though she still felt a bit cold, she also felt very warm inside since Bakura was there for her. Bakura just smiled softly as he watched her sleep peacefully, he just couldn't help but think how cute she looked in her sleep. He gently kissed her forehead, then he slowly and carefully put her inside the sleeping bag and tucked her in. With that, he began to head out of the tent to join Yugi and talk with him.
As Jill was sleeping, she began to think about Lea, and how she and her got together as little kids...
**Flashback**
At the park, a 6 year old Jill and a 5 year old Lea were just sitting on the bench watching the sunset.
"Say, Jill." Lea began conversation, which caught Jill's attention so she slowly turned her head to face her with a questioning look on her face.
"I've been meaning to ask you, where do you get all those skills? You know, you being all tough and stuff. I mean, I know that a girl can be that tough, but I just never saw one in reality before."
"Well, Lea, you see, my father is a cop, and he and my twin brother are actually the only people I have left right now, except my brother is a real jackass and doesn't even know what life is."
"What about your mother?" Lea asked, as she raised her eyebrow.
Jill frowned at that question, so she looked down and sighed, "My mother died of cancer a year ago. I was so close to her until she died, and I cried so hard at the funeral."
Then she looked up and turned her head to face Lea, exchanging a weak smile, "But the one thing that made me not too sad when she died was that my friend was there for me. He's British and probably about 11 years old right now. Kinda cute, has beautiful white hair, and dreamy brown eyes."
But she looked back down and sighed as her voice was breaking, "But unfortunately, he and his father moved to England. I really miss him so much and hope I can see him again."
She then felt tears form in her eyes. Lea just looked at her friend sadly, then she placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, which surprised Jill so she quickly turned her head to face her.
"I'm sure you'll see him again someday, Jill. And I'm sorry about the loss of your mother, I know how hard it is when you lose someone you love."
She suddenly smiled gently, "But just be glad that you found me, because I'm here for you and I'll always be."
Jill just stared at Lea for a moment, not knowing what to say. Then she moved towards her to hug her, which surprised Lea a bit, but she smiled and hugged her back.
"Thanks, Lea." Jill whispered to her.
"Anytime, Jill." Lea whispered back, then she and Jill broke apart to watch the sunset. After they did so, Jill put her arm over Lea's shoulder, and Lea rested her head on Jill's shoulder.
**End of flashback**
It was then that Jill slowly opened her eyes when she could see a light flashing outside the tent, and it turned out that Tea did too.
"I wonder what's going on?" Jill yawned.
"I don't know, maybe we should check it out." Tea suggested, and Jill nodded in agreement.
Then the girls opened the zipper of the tent to check outside, and what they saw was a helicopter.
Jill sighed in exasperation when she saw the helicopter, "Really? A helicopter?"
"What is that?" Tea questioned, as she looked at the helicopter in curiosity.
Yugi and Bakura just gasped as they watched the helicopter land, and with that, everyone all stood up to see who was coming out from the helicopter. The person who got out of the helicopter was none other than... Seto Kaiba! Everyone all gasped in awe at his presence! All he wore was a long indigo blue trenchcoat with a dark teal long sleeved buttoned up-shirt with an extended collar, a matching pants with a white belt on his waist and black shoes.
"Seto Kaiba!" Jill whispered to herself in awe, as she recognized the man.
"It's Kaiba!" Tea exclaimed.
"What's he doing here?" Joey asked, with a snarky tone.
"I don't know, but it looks like he means business." Tristan shrugged in reply.
Yugi walked towards Kaiba as Kaiba said to him, "I haven't seen you since our duel, Yugi."
Yugi smiled and nodded until he realized something, then he took out the cards and offered them to Kaiba, "Here, your deck. I've been keeping it for you. Just think of it as a thank you for that duel you helped me win."
Kaiba gratefully took the cards, "Thanks."
After he took the cards, he told Yugi, "You'll be compensated for all your trouble."
Then he turned to walk, leaving Yugi confused, so he stopped him by giving him a suggestion, "Actually, Kaiba, I was thinking that since we're all headed for Pegasus' castle, you could stick with us. Course, heh... You'll need some star chips."
"Don't be so naive, Yugi. This isn't just a game for me." Kaiba shook his head, which made Yugi confused.
Kaiba then turned around to face him and added darkly, "I'm going after Pegasus to save my brother, not so I can win some silly prize. Have fun with your tournament."
"But, Kaiba..." Yugi said, stunned.
"That snobby little..." Joey rolled his eyes, before he became furious and ran after Kaiba. Then he grabbed Kaiba by the collar of his shirt and got in his face.
"Hey, listen, tough guy! I can understand you waitin' to get your little brother back and all, but don't go thinkin' that you're the only one here with a noble cause, capisce? We all got something worth fightin' for, so if you want a piece of Pegasus, get in line or deal with me. And plus, you oughta know that Tea's little sister Lea is there with Mokuba, and if you want to go and save him, then you have to save her as well and bring her back to us!"
At the mention of Lea, Kaiba's eyes widened because now he knew why he saw that Lea was not with the gang as she always was right now!
It was then that Tea and Jill felt themselves tremble when Joey just mentioned Lea. They just really hoped that Kaiba will surely rescue Lea and bring her back to them, if he ever rescues Mokuba.
Even though Kaiba was still a bit surprised to hear that Lea was taken prisoner with Mokuba, he still kept both his face and eyes firm towards Joey.
"That's right, hotshot. I ain't scared of you." Joey said cockily, before Kaiba suddenly grabbed Joey's fist.
"Nice grip. Let me show you mine." Kaiba grinned, before he pushed Joey aside and it shocked everyone!
"That was uncalled for!" Bakura snapped.
"Joey!" Yugi exclaimed, as he ran over to Joey to see if he was okay.
"Joey! Can you hear me? Are you all right?" Yugi asked Joey, concerned, but Joey didn't respond and he only answered with breathing.
"Check his pulse, Yugi!" Bakura urged.
"I swear to God, Kaiba! If Joey's dead, I will fucking arrest you!" Jill threatened, angrily.
"Relax. I'm fine." Joey suddenly spoke up reassuringly, as he slowly got up from the ground.
"Do you really think I'm gonna let you and this little tournament you're in delay me from finding Pegasus?" Kaiba scoffed at Joey, before Joey turned around to glare at Kaiba.
"Forget Pegasus! Now you got me to deal with, so bust out your cards and let's get it on!"
"Oh no." Jill shook her head, not really amused.
"I can't tell if Joey's being really brave or nuts." Tea commented, slightly confused.
"Forget it. Why don't you go look for an opponent you can actually beat, like an infant or a monkey." Kaiba told Joey, mockingly.
Joey was so pissed off at what Kaiba just said, so he quickly stood up and snapped, "What did you say?!"
"That monkey thing gets him every time." Tristan commented.
Kaiba scoffed, then he turned around to leave as he said, "I don't have time for your nonsense. Loser."
"Go ahead and run. Everyone knows you're nothin' but a washed-up has-been!" Joey called out to Kaiba, snidely.
"Joey, be careful what you say. Kaiba may be a creep, but he's still pretty much considered the top duelist in all the world." Yugi warned.
"Not anymore." Joey scoffed, before Kaiba turned around to face him.
"That's right, tough guy! I bet ever since Yugi mopped the floor with you, you can't even lay a trap card without flinchin'!" Joey ranted, furiously.
"Joey, stop!" Jill growled, as she and the others walked towards Joey to calm him down.
"Ok, Joey. Let it go." Tristan eased.
"This is really the wrong guy to pick a fight with." Tea chimed in, pleadingly.
"What do you say, money bags? Care to prove me wrong?" Joey taunted.
Jill facepalmed with both of her hands in exasperation at what Joey was saying, then she whispered to herself, "Oh, Christ!"
Kaiba suddenly grinned and said, "On one condition..."
Joey and the others were confused...
"We play using my newest innovation in holographic duel technologies." Kaiba warned, which made Yugi confused.
"What do you mean by that?" He questioned.
"It means that if Joey's really that eager to duel me, he's gonna have to do it using my latest holographic system." Kaiba answered coolly, before he held up his briefcase.
"It's a new hi-tech dueling device that allows players the realism of arena matches in any setting."
"Looks like just a regular old briefcase to me." Joey remarked, before Jill nudged him to make him shut up.
"It's in the briefcase, you moron." Kaiba retorted, slightly annoyed, as he put the briefcase down and opened it. Then he took out one of the duel disks and threw it to Joey, who immediately caught it.
"Its technology is unprecedented." Kaiba explained.
"Looks like a flying saucer." Joey remarked, which made Jill roll her eyes.
"Don't be an idiot. This is the most state-of-the-art display modulator ever built. So, if you think you have what it takes to handle it, just strap it on." Kaiba told Joey, firmly.
