I woke up. Showered. Got ready for school. Left. It was literally unlike any other day. It was the beginning of October. I got to school and saw one friend that I barely even talked to, Gonzalo. He was surrounded by people I knew but never really talked to, so I really had no choice but to sit by him. He said hi, and I said hey. Literally like no other day. And then we end up having some dry conversation, like a movie or something. I pull out my iPod and headphones, knowing this conversation was going nowhere. Right before I could put in my headphones, someone sitting next to Gonzalo, who I was completely oblivious to, asked me that one question I'll never forget. "What color is your iPod?" He asked. At the time, I was like what kind of retard would ask that? Hello, you aren't blind, you can obviously see the color. But I was in my own world when I turned to look at him. I didn't know who he was, I had never seen him before. I looked at him for what felt like years, just taking in every single feature. But it was probably only a few seconds. I just answered, "it's pink." And that was it. My class was called, and I had to go. I knew from that point that he was special. It wasn't like any other type of acquaintance. And for the rest of those 8 hours, I had him in my mind. And I just couldn't stop asking myself, "Who was that guy?"
