Meanwhile, Jill had just slowly woken up, and the first thing she saw as soon as she woke up was no other than Bakura!
"Bakura...?" Jill asked, weakly. Bakura was a bit startled as soon as he heard Jill call out his name, but he was pretty relieved to know that Jill was okay.
"Jill, you're okay." He said, relieved.
"I'm fine. What happened?" Jill asked.
Bakura sighed, "Well, Pegasus won the duel against Kaiba, and I believe he took Kaiba's soul."
"What?!" Jill exclaimed, completely shocked.
"What about Lea?! Did he take Lea's soul as well?!" She asked, worried that her friend also might have lost her soul.
"No, Jill, she's okay. Pegasus said that he won't take her soul at all, but he won't free her until either Yugi, Joey, or Mai can defeat him."
"Oh..." Jill sighed, before she sadly looked down to the ground.
'Please be okay, Lea.' She thought to herself.
"Oh, and Jill." Bakura suddenly spoke up to her, before Jill slowly lifted up her head to face him.
"I'm sorry about your father." He apologized, sadly. What he said made Jill's heart beginning to break into a million pieces, because now she knew that she actually wasn't dreaming... Pegasus really did take her father's soul! Then she shut her eyes tight, trying to prevent her tears from coming out.
"He was the only person in the family I had left, and Pegasus took that away from me!" She yelled, before she buried her face into Bakura's shoulder, crying even harder. Bakura held her tightly, and his fingers ran through her hair so he can pet it gently. It was then that he also felt a little tears forming in his eyes, because he remembered the time when his mother and his younger sister Amane died when he was just a little boy...

Meanwhile, it was dinner time, so everyone just ate, but Jill didn't feel like eating because she was just too depressed to do anything since she just found out that her father's soul had been taken.
"Give me seconds of that cheese!" Joey told the waiter.
"Yeah, and the ham." Tristan chimed in.
"And uh, that weird jelly cake-looking thing." Joey added, as he kept eating.
"If this was a Duel Munchers competition, you two would win." Tea remarked, as she laughed a bit.
Just then, Croquet spoke up and announced to the gang, "On behalf of Maximillion Pegasus, I'd like to congratulate the four finalists, and welcome them to this final phase of the Dueling Kingdom competition. I trust you all have your play-off entry cards."
Everyone was all surprised to hear what Croquet said to them, so they all turned to face him with questioning looks on their faces.
"In your invitation to the Duelist Kingdom, you received these two cards: Glory of the King's hand, Glory of the King's opposite hand. You must have one of these to participate in the final tournament. Those without them are disqualified" Croquet explained, as he held up the two cards.
"So that's what they're for!" Yugi breathed, in realization.
"Each card provides unique prizes. The Glory of the King's hand card is needed to claim the 3 million dollar cash prize. The opposite hand card allows the winner to challenge Pegasus for the championship." Croquet continued, which made Joey surprised.
'Now he tells me! I don't have either one!' Joey thought to himself, nervously.
'Of the millions of cards I own, I run across the two that I don't! I have to get me one!' Keith thought to himself, nervous as well.
"To make tomorrow's tournament interesting, your host has added a special ingredient to your soup." Croquet informed, before something just came out of everyone's soup, shocking Yugi, Joey, Mai and Keith!
"Ugh, it's staring at me!" Tea exclaimed, as she looked at Pegasus' Millennium Eye in Yugi's soup.
"Hey, mine's eyeball free." Tristan commented, as he stirred the soup to look for the eye.
"It's only because we're not in the tournament, Tristan." Jill sighed, still a little depressed.
"Hey, this is worse than having a fly in my soup!" Joey snapped at Croquet.
"Open up the eye and look inside if you will." Croquet instructed coolly, which made Joey confused.
"Each of you has been randomly assigned a letter." Croquet told the gang, before they opened up each of their ball and out came a tiny letter.
Yugi opened his letter, and his eyes widened in confusion when his said 'A', "What's this for?"
Mai was just confused as she held up the letter that said 'B'.
Joey just looked at his letter that said 'D' intently.
Keith was just unimpressed as he held up the letter that said 'C'.
"And now, the island's computer will pair up the letters to determine tomorrow's duel match-ups." Croquet explained, as the screen came down from the ceiling.
"Gee, I wonder who's going to have to face who." Tea wondered, a bit worriedly.
'Good. Once I know who I'm dueling, I can use tonight to prepare.' Mai thought to herself.
'It doesn't matter who I'm up against if I don't have one of them glory cards!' Joey thought to himself, tensely.
 Keith just smirked.
"And tomorrow's duels are as follows: A vs B, C vs D." Croquet explained, just as the letters that each Duelist had appeared on the screen and will show who will duel who.
"Who has C?" Joey demanded, before Keith turned to face him and snickered.
"Me, runt!" He said, cockily.
"All right! It's payback for trapping us in that cave!" Joey ranted.
"Once I crush you, you'll wish you were still in that cave!" Keith sneered, which made Joey pissed.
"Looks like it's you and me, Mai." Yugi told Mai, smiling.
"I'm looking forward to this duel." Mai replied, smiling as well.
"Yeah, me too, and may the best Duelist win."
Mai just smirked softly at what Yugi said.
"The duels are set. Yugi Muto vs Mai Valentine, and Bandit Keith vs Joey Wheeler. Please enjoy the rest of this feast because for three of you tomorrow, your long will end in failure." Croquet announced finally, as he bowed to everyone, then he walked out of the door.
After Croquet was gone, everyone all turned to face Jill, who still didn't take a single bite and was still grieving about Pegasus taking her father's soul.
"Jill, I really think you should eat something." Tea said, gently.
"I don't wanna eat. I'm too depressed." Jill sighed, as she shook her head. Then she felt her stomach rumble, and her eyes widened and she slightly blushed in embarrassment.
"Uh..." Jill stammered, as she tried to hide the fact that she was hungry.
"So you are hungry. Go on, Jill. It's okay." Tea smiled. Jill just looked down at the food on the table, hesitating to even take a single bite, but she sighed in defeat and reconsidered.
"All right, I'll eat." She said, before she looked up to face the others and smiled softly.

Meanwhile, after dinner...
"I'm stuffed like a sumo wrestler." Joey commented, completely full.
"Ugh! That was good." Tristan sighed, content with his meal.
"I can't believe you drank the entire eyeball soup." Tea said to Joey, amused. Jill just giggled softly.
"Hey there, Joey." Yugi suddenly spoke up to Joey, before Joey turned his head to face him with a questioning look on his face.
"We better get to bed. We'll need our rest uf we're all gonna be in top shape for the tournament tomorrow." Yugi told Joey, smiling.
"Yug, what's the point? Since I don't have that card--" Joey began, before Yugi suddenly handed Joey a card, and it surprised him.
"Actually this Glory of King's hand card is yours, Joey. Why don't you just think of it as an early birthday present." Yugi suggested, which made Tea smile.
"Yugi!" Tea exclaimed, happily.
"But, Yug, you need it." Joey declined.
"The rules never said we needed both cards to compete, so we each only need one." Yugi persisted.
"Yeah..." Joey replied hesitantly, as he glanced the other way.
"If you give up now, who's going to save your sister? Who a kind of big brother would you be if you didn't even try to win the prize money?" Yugi added, then it hit Joey!
"Yugi...?"
"And besides, Joey, think about the odds, if we're both in the tournament, it doubles our chance of winning the entire thing. So take it, ok?"
"Take it." Tea chimed in.
"It's okay, Joey." Jill chimed in as well.
"Ok." Joey considered, before he took the card out of Yugi's hand.
"You're a real pal, Yugi." Joey complimented, gratefully.
"All this lovey-dovey stuff is making my skin crawl." Mai suddenly spoke up, as she smiled a little. Jill just smiled at her comment.
"So good night, boys and girls! And catch you tomorrow, Yugi." She continued, with a wink. Yugi just nodded in reply.

Meanwhile, before everyone went inside each of their rooms, Bakura just hugged Jill tightly as he petted her hair gently.
"I know you're still sad about Pegasus taking your father's soul, Jill, but just try to get some sleep because tomorrow might be the day that his soul will be given back." Bakura told her, gently.
"Ok, Bakura. But it's just so hard because I just want him back!" Jill replied, as she was sniffling.
Bakura pulled away from her to face her and placed both of his hands on both of her cheeks as he spoke more gently while wiping her tears away with his thumbs, "I know, Jill. But we will get him back tomorrow after Yugi defeats Pegasus. I promise."
Jill just stared at him for a moment as those words began to touch her. She then started to feel her heart beat as she knew that she was actually closer to Bakura, and her grey eyes were actually staring into his dazzling brown ones... But she looked down to avoid his gaze and to prevent him from seeing her blush, but just then, Bakura lifted her chin up so that they were facing each other, then all of a sudden... his lips slammed against hers. Jill was shocked at the fact that she was being kissed for the first time, especially since it was from a guy that she had known since childhood. Even though Jill was shocked, she just closed her eyes, not hesitating to kiss back, and she slowly moved her hands to his chest. The kiss was so warm and Jill could just feel a million butterflies in her stomach. After Bakura had pulled away, it left Jill's lips pounding and aching for more, then she opened her eyes and saw that Bakura looked a bit ashamed.
"I-I'm sorry, Jill." He apologized, sheepishly.
Jill just smiled and said, "It's alright."
Bakura just sighed and held her tightly, then he whispered into her ear, "Good night, Jill."
"Good night, Bakura." Jill whispered back, before she pressed her lips against his cheek, which made his face become a bright red.
Then they broke apart from each other and went inside each of their rooms. Jill just sighed after she closed the door, and she touched her lips as her eyes widened.
'My god, he just kissed me!' She thought, but she just shook her head and walked towards her bed.
After she sat on her bed, she sighed, still grieving over the fact that Pegasus took her father's soul, then she looked out the window to look at the dark sky.
'I'm so sorry for what Pegasus did to you, daddy.' She thought, as she felt a tear stream down her face. Then she closed the window and the curtains, and took off her peace sign necklace and looked at it for a moment. She then smiled a little when she glanced at the spot where it said 'Loretta', then she felt a tear come out of her eye when she read the name over and over.
'Mom.' She thought to herself. The peace sign necklace actually belonged to Jill's mother way before she was born, and it turned out that her name was actually Loretta. Jill began rolling the pendent between her hands, which were clasped as if in prayer in front of her, and she cried softly.
After a moment of crying, Jill placed the necklace on the drawer that was next to her bed, then she took off her ponytail and her cardigan and her shoes, and went inside the covers to go to sleep. Then she switched the light off, and the last thing she could think of before she went to sleep was 'Don't worry, dad, we'll bring your soul back tomorrow. I promise.'
Then she started to fall asleep...
