Meanwhile, after Yugi's duel with Joey, Joey, Tristan, Bakura, Tea, and Jill all stood in front of the door where Yugi was to step out of, and as soon as it opened... Yugi's eyes widened in surprise.
"Surprise!" Tea announced, cheerfully.
"Guys, what are you doing--" Yugi started, before Tristan cut him off.
"Hey, Yug, we all wanted to wish you well."
"You're the best." Yugi smiled.
"Looks like you finally made it, you're going all the way, buddy." Joey smiled.
"And once it's over, we'll get your grandpa home." Tea chimed in, before Yugi nodded in agreement.
"Thank you, Tea. That means a lot."
"The time has come. Would Yugi Muto the challenger, please enter the duel ring? Mr. Pegasus awaits you." Croquet announced, before Yugi furrowed his eyebrows in determination.
"Go get em, Yug!" Joey cheered Yugi on, before Yugi suddenly changed into Yami Yugi.
'Let's end this, Pegasus!' Yami thought in determination, before he went on his way to the dueling arena.
"He looks so determined!" Tea exclaimed, happily.
"Yugi, take him down!" Tristan cheered Yami on.
"We know you can!" Tea chimed in.
"Put that slimebucket in his place once and for all!" Joey chimed in as well, before Yami finally entered the stadium.
"The challenger has entered the stadium, and now, for your dueling pleasure, castle Pegasus is proud to present, the creator of Duel Monsters and all its wonderous cards." Croquet announced.
'And thief of my grandfather's soul.' Yami added.
"The undefeated disputed ruler of Duelist Kingdom, Maximillion Pegasus!" Croquet finally announced, just as Pegasus finally entered the arena.
'At last, I finally face Pegasus. It will take all wisdom my grandpa gave me, and all the power in my cards. But I will defeat him!' Yami thought to himself, in determination.
"And now, let the duel begin!" Croquet announced again.
"So, Yugi-boy, you've turned out to be quite the young Duelist, battling your way past all the other challengers, winning your way into the castle just to face me." Pegasus taunted, and Yami glared at him.
"PEGASUS! Before we begin this duel, I want you to agree to keep your promise! That if I defeat you, you'll release my grandfather's soul to me!" He snapped, angrily.
"But of course, I'm a man of my word." Pegasus replied, mockingly.
"And that's not all, you must also free the souls of Seto and Mokuba Kaiba. Even free the soul of Ricardo Fernandez, and give Lea back to us!" Yami added.
"What a strange demand. I thought you hated Kaiba as much as you hate me, Yugi." Pegasus remarked, mockingly.
"Maybe I need to keep a vow of my own, Pegasus." Yami replied, coolly.
**Flashback**
Mokuba turned the other way as he felt himself wanting to cry, but to prevent that from happening, he turned around to face Yami with a painfully honest look in his face.
"But then, what can I do?" Mokuba asked, desperately.
"You can start by trusting in me, and together we will defeat Pegasus." Yami answered, as he made a vow.
**End of flashback**
'I made a promise to Mokuba, a vow, that I would reunite him with his brother.' Yami thought, before he also thought about Lea.
'I also promised Lea to keep Mokuba safe since she really cares about him very much.'
**Flashback**
Yami obviously noticed what Lea was doing, so he turned his head to face her and saw that she was praying for Mokuba's safety. After Lea opened her eyes, her eyes widened when she noticed that Yami was looking at her. He then gave her a smirk and a friendly wink, which made Lea smile softly and she nodded.
**End of flashback**
"Ah, I see! A vow to Mokuba and Lea." Pegasus suddenly spoke up, which made Yami shocked.
'Did he just read my mind?' He thought, in disbelief.
"Ok, Yugi-boy, if it will put your mind at ease, I agree to your terms. If you win your battle with me, I shall free these four from their lonesome prison of souls." Pegasus promised, as he held up the four soul cards of Solomon Muto, Seto and Mokuba Kaiba, and Ricardo Fernandez.
Jill trembled with anger as she saw that Pegasus was carrying her father's soul card.
"Pegasus is up to something!" Tristan exclaimed.
"I know. I think he planned to take on Yugi in the final match all along." Joey replied in agreement.
"He's after something, that's for sure." Tea chimed in.
"I hope that Yugi can handle him. Throughout the entire tournament, Pegasus has stacked his deck in his own favor every step of the way." Bakura added, hopefully.

"You kiddin' me? Yugi's gonna kick his keister. When this is all over, Yugi's gonna be the undisputed champion. Pegasus won't even have a clue what hit him." Joey replied to Bakura, in determination.
"He's right. I know it!" Tea chimed in.
"I don't know." Bakura said, a bit doubtfully. Tristan just raised his eyebrow as he agreed with what Bakura said, and Jill just furrowed her eyebrows in determination as she agreed with what Joey and Tea were saying.
"You can't have such a negative attitude, guys. Yugi's countin' on us too." Joey told the guys.
"Exactly! I mean even though it looks hard, I know Yugi can do it!" Jill chimed in.
"But Pegasus has never played fair, he started by kidnapping Yugi's grandpa, and going in to this final match, we don't know what kind of tricks he'll pull." Tristan replied, a bit uneasily.
"Whatever tricks he tries, whatever card he plays, Yugi will overcome them! Yugi hasn't come all this way to lose in the final match!" Tea stepped in, defensively.
"She's right!" Jill chimed in, as she agreed with what Tea said.
Joey then turned to look at Pegasus and said with a snarky tone, "Look at him! No way the overdressed prima-donna has a chance against our buddy!"
"Maybe." Tristan shrugged.
"Trust me, Yugi's no Kaiba, he's gonna beat this clown." Joey said reassuringly, as he placed his hand on Tristan's shoulder.
"They're just about to draw their first cards, let's head to the upper gallery so we can get a better view." Tea suggested.
"Good idea, Tea." Joey agreed, before he and the girls began walking on their way to the upper gallery.

"Guess there's nothing we can do but wait for the duel to play out. Pegasus holds all the cards right now." Bakura sighed, before Tristan turned his head to face him.
"As long as he holds his prisoners, we're going to be at his mercy no matter what the outcome of the game." Bakura added.
"Right." Tristan nodded, before he began running, and it caught Jill's attention.
"Tristan, where are you going?" Bakura asked, before Tristan stopped and turned around to face Bakura confidently.
"I'm gonna see if I can find Kaiba, or Mokuba, or Lea anywhere, because if I can get em back, even without the brothers' souls, then Pegasus won't hold all the cards." Tristan answered confidently, which made Jill's face beam up with pride, so she ran over to Tristan to follow him.
"Then I'm going with you!" She announced, which caught both Tristan and Bakura's attentions.
"No you're not." Tristan shook his head, as he turned his whole body to face her.
"No?" Jill asked, defiantly.
Tristan just looked at her, surprised at what she said.
Then Jill folded her arms and spoke firmly, "Let me tell you what I believe, Tristan. I believe that Lea means more to me than she does to you. I believe if you are really serious about rescuing her and the Kaiba brothers, you are going to need my help. And since I am a daughter of a cop, if you don't like it... I believe you can go to hell. Because you're not going anywhere else. Now let's go!"
Then she began to run, but Bakura grabbed her hand, which surprised Jill, so she turned to face him with a questioning look on her face.
"Are you sure you want to go, Jill?" Bakura asked her.
Jill nodded and said, "I'm sure, Bakura. Lea has been my friend ever since I was little. She means a lot to me because ever since my mother died and you and your father moved in to England, I felt like I had no one until I met Lea. And now that my father's soul is taken, I feel that I have to rescue Lea and protect her because I love her. I also feel that I have to rescue Mokuba as well because I know how much Lea cares about him, and he's also my friend too. And even though I was angry at Kaiba for defeating Yugi and I insulted him nastily, I feel that he actually did the right thing to get Mokuba's soul back and to spare Lea's life, and I also want to apologize to him. That's why I have to go. No matter how dangerous it might be, I have to go."
Bakura just looked at Jill for a moment, conflicted, but he slowly knelt down in front of her and placed both of his hands on both of her shoulders as he gently kissed her lips. Jill's eyes widened, but she slowly closed her eyes and kissed back as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Then he slowly pulled away and looked into her eyes as he whispered, "Good luck."

Jill smiled and nodded, "Thank you. I'll be back before you know it."
Bakura smiled back and released Jill out of his arms as she began running on her way. Then she stopped in front of Tristan and asked him firmly, "Well, Tristan? You coming or not?"
Tristan just looked at Jill, a bit conflicted, but he slowly nodded and said, "Of course I'm coming, Jill. But how the hell am I supposed to get you past the Security Guards without you being seen? I mean, if I ever dress as a knight, you wouldn't be able to because you're so short!"
Jill just smirked and took out her handcuffs, "Let them see me. All you can do is pretend you're escorting me as your prisoner."
Tristan's eyes widened in realization when he saw the handcuffs Jill was holding, and he thought to himself, 'Why didn't I think of that?'
Jill then put her handcuffs back in her pocket and began running on her way, with Tristan following suit.
'Don't worry, Lea. I'm coming to save you.' Jill thought, in determination.
